Title: Dr. Murray Kimmel, a Philadelphia urologist who provided hormones and low-cost o

Dr. Murray Kimmel, a Philadelphia urologist who provided hormones and low-cost orchiectomies for trans people, has closed his office. A reader notes:

Dr. Murray Kimmel is no longer practicing.  His office was recently "closed permanently due to illness" according to a letter I got from a lawyer's office (in response to my regular request for hormones), so I guess his status should be changed to (inactive).  Those of us who were his patients now have to find our hormones elsewhere without even so much as a referral.

I considered seeing Dr. Kimmel for my orchi, but decided to go with a local urologist instead as my finances were limited.  That's too bad that he's inactive now, and I hope the "illness" isn't too serious.

That's a real shame.  He offered a vital service to those unable or unwilling to access HRT and/or orchi via the more 'official' channels.  I too hope his illness isn't too serious.

I knew he provided orchi's with out a therapists letter but had no idea he also prescribed *HRT* I think that might have been dangerous; I don't know maybe not.

I hope he is going to be ok also and not a serious health issue.  How old is he anyways?
