Title: What are the alternatives to pills/shots
Post by: shanetastic on January 15, 2009, 12:07:46 AM
I'm going to talk to my endo about this but was just wondering something.

I hate doing shots, it hurts me the next day and even the day after and makes it difficult getting to class, and sitting through classes.  I would prefer not to go back to pills though because it was a hassle refilling them so often and stuff.  Are there any alternatives to the two?  Or should I just suck it up and stick to the needle?

I'd definitely talk to your doctor, Shane. What gauge needle are you using to inject and where are you injecting? I use a 23 gauge (I hope that isn't violating the prescription rule, I don't think it does, if it does, pm me) needle and inject in the upper quadrant of my butt. I'd also be cognizant of the desired effect of the E on you. Shots tend to work a little quicker I think, but I'm not sure :) Hope you are doing well!

I can PM you the gauge and stuff that she gave me. I'm afraid it would break rules too heh.

And thanks for the response Meghan.  Doing great, just school and hanging out with friends and the norm ya know haha.  Hope all is going well for you too.
