mine would be: zero population growth combined with profit-o-centric education that works to create prosperity for all healthy adult humans.
i'm not saying fewer and better people. that'd be politically too incorrect for me to say. i'm saying let's keep usa at about 300 million and the world at about 7 billion. and let's do everything humanly possible to make almost everybody economically self-sufficient by dint of insanely great profit-o-centric education. that's all i'm saying.
what is something you want very much but will never happen?
Mine would be that humanity accepts itself for just what they are, Human. With all the differences that comes with being human.
There are 7 billion humans on this planet. That is a lot of differences. Try to enjoy your own life and embrace the differences of your neighbor, on each side. And if they do the same, soon the whole world will embrace the differences of their neighbor.

It is possible to keep the population from growing but to be sustainable the population needs to be below 4 billion.
I love to see Dick, and George, and Condi, and Rummy et.all on trial for treason here, and in The Hauge for war crimes.

aww Tink... I can't even imagine. :'(
I'd like to see aggression bred out of the human race
Discovery of parallel universes.
For humankind to realise and let go of the irrational fear-based decisions that drive selfishness, bigotry, greed and war.

Ah, yes, that I can understand easily. At my age I wouldn't really want it to happen, but sometimes I look at Ian and think ....
Which I suppose would bring me to being 20 years younger. :)
I liked Katia's though. Buckminster Fuller thought it was possible with techonological advancements made by 1981. There were fewer people then, but you can read
Critical Path and see how he thought it possible.
Nichole
It occurred to me that if we had zero population growth and 7 billion people, then the number would drop after a few generations due to the oldest ones passing away, then accidents, and illnesses.
I didn't include war and crime because I'm assuming that Katia was including world peace in her idea of prosperity.
To be a cis-woman. But that is selfish.
