This head-scratcher from Christian Newswire. The "logic" is as follows -- I think: The Nazis were gay. There are two kinds of gays; effeminate and masculine. Masculine gays are pedarists. Masculine gays serve in the armed forces. Thus, allowing them to serve openly will lead to a takeover because the Nazis were gay and they took over Germany?
Huh? What?
Oh, I left something out. Because the gays already in the military will no longer have to hide their sexual orientation, this will lead to a mass exodus of "normal" servicemen which will force us to return to the draft.
I kinda wondered about some of my drill instructors in boot camp.. They were surly in the closet but they loved to hang out in the showers.

As mentioned in the comments, most of the nazis were straight... Ernst Rohem... was killed by hitler... (night of the long knives...) and the brownshirts disbanded....

You can, however buy the book "The Pink Swastika" which explains this theory in great detail.

It occurs to me that I could have paid for all my operations simply by hosting a right wing-nut radio program that primarily promoted this crap and make up any story on how the gay agenda is going to cause the fall of civilization. Too bad I was born with that ethics gene...

If this is the case then since this supposed christian is an ignorant nutcase and I have come in cotact with a few other ignorant nutcases in christianity I should judge all christians as this? bummer I just realized that I am not an ignorant bigot and I can't do that! :'(

The impression I get from people I've met in the military is that DADT is somewhere between a non-issue and an annoyance. At this point, they don't much care. Granted I don't exactly hang out around bases. But I get the impression that most of the people opposed to gays in the military aren't in the military themselves.
The closer real laws guaranteeing real freedoms for the GLBT community get, the crazier the scenarios from the Reich Wingers will be. I guess that's kind of a good thing since the reasonable people in the country (yes, they are out there) will recognize the b*tsh*t craziness of the wing nuts for what it is.
It's like the dying screams of a species undergoing extinction! (I know, I know, wishful thinking) :D

It may well be.... but i dont really know much about gay culture or the community *shrugs*
As for that last bit... deffinately... as are most of the MEN who think women shouldnt serve in combat....
It's not so much knowing about gay culture than it is knowing that there were symbols other than the star that the fascists used to beat people down with.

One of the big deals in SF for the Pride Parade is the setting of the triangle up on Twin Peaks. I know it means a lot to people to take that turn down Market and you can see all the way out to the peaks and see that triangle.
If you google pink triangle/san francisco/photos you can find all sort of shots of it. It's very large.
