Title: Will taking T cause ovarian cysts?
Post by: Nero on January 29, 2009, 11:19:21 PM
I just thought of this. Women with PCOS have too much androgens in their systems - so would not being on T cause the same condition?  ???
Our periods stop and everything, so does that cause cysts?

(as you can see, I have a lot of medical knowledge about this   :P)

I've heard that it does, then again I don't have like actual reports to back this up.

That's a main worry of mine, I'm thinkin T is gonna mess with all those womanly parts. I've heard too many stories with those parts developing issues after starting T.

Dunno, there isn't a whole lot of evidence either way. I know I had to fight to get my hysto because of no known documentation about risks, and my doctor couldn't find anything to contradict that. I just got the hysto to clear up any worries about those bits (that'd be the responsible part of me) and grow chest hair (that'd be the teenage boy part of me). Chest hair is improving :)
