Title: New to this site. Hello to al of you.
Post by: tamarav on January 31, 2009, 01:05:11 PM
Hi!  My name is Tamara Valla.  I am an older CD that has been posting for years on other boards but just recently found this one.  I hope to get to know some of you and help support this forum.

I am a licensed cosmetologist in Washington State and have been involved with wigs for over 30 years.  I used to own some wig shops in the Oakland, California area dn ran a wig shop online for 7 years.  I am more than happy to talk with any and all of you and I hope to enhance my knowledge of the feminine by reading and posting more.

I currently work in two salons in the Washington State area and dress everyday for work.  Many of my pictures are scattered all over the Internet.

Thank you for having me.

Tami

Hi Tami and welcome  :)

I've never gotten into wigs much, Although some times I think it would be fun to try some out. Just to try a different look. Sometimes I have make up and hair removal issues. What works the best etc....

Look forward to reading some of your posts  :)

Hi Tami,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1660 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another member.   :icon_hug:

Hi Tami,

Welcome to Susan's, I'm 56 and just started transitioning, my hair is still real short so a wig is a must and I'm sure i will have questions about wig care like washing and styling.

Paula.

Welcome, Tamara!

Wow, I may have to look you up sometime!

The two principal issues that pretty much prevent me from transitioning at this time are male pattern baldness and body hair.  Like you, I'm older, but not a CD or TV.  I'm a wannabe MTF classic TS.  If I ever did transition, I would surely need wigs ... all the time!  Darn it!  Anyway, I may look you up in the future.

Welcome to the board!  Hugs.
