A confirmational study by psychology researchers at The University of Texas at Austin provides empirical data that suggest women with high levels of the sex hormone estradiol may engage in opportunistic mating. Doctoral candidate Kristina Durante says "The study offers further evidence that physiological mechanisms continue to play a major role in guiding women's sexual motivations and behavior."

Women who have the highest level of estradiol in the 3000-4000 range are pregnant and are not interested in sex.

Fascinating stuff.  I've read other studies that suggested that higher levels of sex steroids also made for people considered more aesthetically pleasing than those with lower levels.  Seems like women and men have something in common when it comes to good looks, high sex steroid levels, and tendency to stray...

From what I've heard, pregnant women get extra horny so I don't know about them not being interested in sex...
