Title: A Question for all FTM's....

Hey Everyone!! Thanks for being so supportive of my boyfriend and I with answering our questions..however, we have another one for everyone to see if you ahve knowledge we can not find...

Has anyone heard of an FTM growing an Adam's Apple?...obviously my boyfriends voice has deepend significantly..but we were wondering if this can happen or just the voice deeping is all that will occur of this during his transition..this quesiton arose from an acquaintance that was asking many questions which we were able to answer..except this one...so just wondered..thanks so much!!!

Sure, it could happen just as easily as with any bio guy. All people (male and female) have one. It's just the cartilage around your voice box. It only sticks out when the vocal cords enlarge during, say,  a male puberty. So, really he should be just as likely as any other guy to get one.

Everyone has one yeah but it doesn't mean its going to stick out more just because he is on T. I have been on T for 8/9 months and yet to see an adams apple. It all depends on your bone strucher. I might be wrong..

Yeah, mine grew. Can't remember when it was, but my mother thought I was getting a goiter.

Yeah, it can happen. I was on T for 8 months, and while I haven't noticed an adam's apple per se, I have noticed that my larynx is thicker. I think it all depends on genetics... plus, your own body makeup, fat, etc, will determine whether or not an adam's apple is visible. Plenty of guys have adam's apples that no one can see... and no one judges whether or not you're a guy by whether they can see a lump on your neck.

Exactly.. a few blokes I know you cant even see theres..
