Hi All
I know there has been a similar post in the past but I thought I'd describe my experience today.
I've never had a bad shopping trip - except for the plastic crying.
I went out in drag today (I'm on leave) 'cos I wanted to check out some salons to do either laser or electro. I hate being hairy in my real clothes so I went out unisex (what a word).
I ended up in a big discount shopping mall. All females except for a few harried males.
I wandered around a few shops and I felt the security guys were checking me out; and not because they fancied me! which put me off.
Saw a top to die for in a shop picked it up, my size and went to the counter, the manager was there and said, "Oh yes this is a gorgeous top, there is one lucky lady getting this, who is she" full of smiles. So I said it. "me", I'm TG and starting to dress and live full time, couldn't today because of appointments.
Well. She looked at me smiled and said well you need accessories I've just got a jewelery delivery that I haven't put out as yet, but there is some great stuff. (three bags of it. We tried everything, chatting away) I had earings on, she would model them for me, talk about what look to create etc. At the end of the accessory bit she asked if there were any other clothes I wanted to try, I had a look but not really. I said there was a nice skirt in the shop opposite but the SG was staring at me, so I felt uncomfortable. And I saw a nice bra and panty set in Simone Pelloni shop next door but the SG was definitly on my case. ( every time I picked something up he cleared his throat) - maybe he had a cold.
So Kathy (first name terms by now and a piece of plastic that was know weeping, and it's little hands were tight hold of my purse) says "Oh I'll introduce you". So off we went and I met the manager of the Table 8 shop and ended up buying a skirt- after trying it on! Met the manager of Pellini's and ended up with a bra and panty set that was far too expensive. She also, I saw spoke to the SG quietly but I saw he blushed!
Finally it was from all three, But mainly Kathy, come back anytime, and next time I want to see you as Cindy.
Oh BTW there is a really nice discount shoe shop about ten shops down.
The plastic started crying out loud.
But I ended up with yet another pair of shoes and the girls in the shop did not bat an eyelid at my polished toes, when I held my new skirt and top up in the mirror to see how they looked.
But still not sure about laser or electrolysis
But what a day.
To my sisters who are still shy. Live it.
A very poor but happy

And they call it discount!
When the going gets tough.........the tough go shopping. But you really should that poor little piece of plastic a rest, before it has a meltdown. Poof.
Sounds like a great day there, Hon. ;D

What I wouldn't give to be able to leave my house and feel confident enough to go play in the mall!
Recently though my SO and I had "the" long talk, and she's taken a liking to taking me shopping with her.
Lets just say I've had more fun with her shopping these last few weeks then I've ever had.
Gratz on the finds and what a wonderful story! :)
welcome to the first of many many wonderful shopping days, though yes the plastic does cry a bit. Shopping is the best therapy there is, well after a day ain the salon. Glad you had fun and it gets easier over time too.
Enjoy the shopping bliss
