hypothetically speaking: ok so you are in a same gender relationship and you want to get "married" to your partner. how do you decide if you want to ask your partner to be theirs forever? or do you wait for them to ask you?
what do you do if you both end up asking each other on the same night? (i know the logical answer, but i would like hypothetical answers..lol)
how do you decide in an androgynous relationship? pansexual/omnisexual? between two transgender/transsexual persons?
well imo, the man asks the woman, but if you are both women, i guess whoever thinks of it first? :)
IMHO. If you love each other then anything goes. And in this day and age, if I am in love with a man I am not going to wait for him to come around. As for being in love a woman, you would both know it was time I think.
Janet
I agree with Janet.
I see no problem with the girl initiating first.
I asked my SO we are both women, or were then, and we had a ceremony 15 years ago. Then last night she asked me if I would marry her when I am done with transition . I guess its whoever asks first.

I was wondering the other day if I ever asked a boyfriend to marry me, would I be expected to present an engagement ring? Engagement rings seem a very girly prospect

kind of why i was asking cause my boss is gay and seems to be the more feminine of the two of them, but i don't really talk to him much anymore..lol

LOL so relevant! Like... I'm expected to be the initiator of anything... ANd I hate that crap.
Which ever one stand to lose the house and 1/2 their income to the other one when they get divorced should do the asking.
