Title: I just remembered
Post by: Pica Pica on February 11, 2009, 01:48:27 PM
Oh yeah....

I came out to a couple of friends two weeks ago, even used the term androgyne. Can't really remember exactly what we all said.

How did it go?

I've just started the process of coming out entirely. I wrote something about it in the 'just for us' section.

Well done.

When I told people, they just ignored me.

I did have some support at my parish, but day to day life never really changed.

When I told someone they asked, "Whats going to change?".

I couldn't really think of anything  :embarrassed:

well it was part of the conversation, we had been talking about gender as part of my research for my MA dissertation/Novel. They asked me to explain whether men understood much of non-verbal/tonal communication, because they didn't seem to. I said it would appear so, so they said that I seemed to be pretty good at it and I told them that was because I was an androgyne and saw myself as not quite male or female. There were smiles and another pot of tea was made.
