Title: Hi, I'm Andrew.
Post by: Andrew on August 14, 2006, 05:48:47 PM
Hi. I'm Andrew. I'm an FTM about to go to college in Massachusetts. About me: I'm most likely going to be a math major, but I'm heavily interested in art, film, and dance. I like Melville, pi, and girls that look like Manet paintings. So, um...hi.

Hi, Andrew!  Welcome to Susan's!

Your introduction is certainly compact and highly concentrated.  Manet, eh? (runs off to Google Manet)   Ooh!  Pretty clothes...

I like ... pi...

Pi is a good number to like.  I was amazed to read how many ways one can derive pi.  It isn't just for circles anymore.

I have forgotten how to derive e, though.  I'm sure it is really more important than pi since it forms the basis for so much of the math world.

If I remember corecctly, e to the (-i theta) = sin theta + i cos theta.  There is a great truth in there somewhere.

Robyn

Oh... and Welcome, Andrew

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to Susan's.

Lots of support here and like minded people.

What ever you decide to do at college, have a great time.... Those years where the best of my life for sure.

If you do Math's ... explain Fourier Transform Analysis to me please, never could understand it...  :icon_booty-nerd:

Hi Andrew, Welcome!

I like my pi round, with whipped cream.  All that imaginary stuff (like the square root of -1) tends to be a little tasteless!  I tend to like Renoir's girls a bit more than Manet's (much more innocence and plumper!).  Considering testosterone though, I would prefer not to.

I'm pleased that you found us and decided to begin posting and I'll be looking forward to reading more from you.

Again, WELCOME ! !  :)
Call me Helen.

Ever see that movie titled PI?  A very interesting film.

Hello Andrew,

Its nice to meet you.  Welcome to Susan's.  Be sure to check out the Reference Library and the WIKI.  Lots of good info there.  I am sure you will be meeting many new friends here.  Everyone here is very knowledgable, friendly and supportive.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.  I believe pi is a very important number to know.  It plays a very important role in physics and is commonly used in formulas for calculating electricity equations.  The fun part is when you can calculate impedance in a parallel circuit using the inverse square formula.  I wish you well on becoming a math major in college.  Take care and again Welcome!

Hugs,

Shannon

Hi Andrew. Welcome!

I have a daughter working on her masters in Boston. It's a beautiful town. With all the colleges there I'm guessing that's where you'll be. If I'm wrong, sorry for assuming!

Anyway, you'll love it here. There's a great bunch of people always willing to help.
