Well all I can say is that I drink a lot of green tea every day.  Can't say I have noticed any problems.  I think the benefits greatly outweigh any potential negatives.  Reduced risk of cancer, antiaging effects, and much more.  There has been only one study done on this phenomenon.  It was done to a very small sample of Chinese women who drank lots of green tea.  In this one small group, the green tea drinkers had 13% less estrogens compared to non tea drinkers.  The other interesting thing is that in this study, black tea (which comes from the exact same plant) drinkers had 19% more estrogens.  What this tells me is that the sample is far too small to be significant.  If the study were expanded I would suggest that you would see those numbers even out.  But no other researchers even think it is worth pursuing to date.  Also, the thought is that it affects the way estrogen is metabolized in the liver after production.  It makes me wonder who effect it might possibly have on those who take their HRT in injections, or sublingually.  My suspicion is that we will never know.  Why?  There are no significant numbers worth following up.
