Transition Pressure

I'm finding pressure to speed up the transition process coming from some unexpected sources: other trans folks.
"Hurry up and get your named legally changed."
"Hurry up and have electrolysis."
"Hurry up and book an appointment with the surgeon."
Whoa!
Nobody but nobody should be putting pressure on a person who is transitioning. Everyone does it at their own pace. Some people take many years to complete the process, once they make the decision to proceed.
She makes some very good points and they're definitely true.
It's a pretty much human exercise though, hoping others join one in an activity or way of living. Having others gives us companionship and tends to validate for us the things we do ourselves.
Is it something we should do. No, but do it we do anyway.
