Title: Would if I Could
Post by: scarboroughfair on March 01, 2009, 12:58:45 AM
I guess this thread relates to a locked one, I wasn't here to put in my two cents.
I took this cheesy online quiz about my traits to prove I was a transgender.
One question that remains in my head.
"If you could take a magic wand and make your feelings disappear and live the life you were physically born as, would you?"

My immediate answer was "YES"

I would love to live a traditional family life.

I want my mind to match my body, but I can't make that happen.

I'm fairly stable now, so I'll keep pulling for positive change. ooxx

No

I have worked to hard on this and I am sure I have enough points chalked up in my Kharma log that I can chose to come back as a natal woman next time.

I would not change anything. Well, except maybe that I would a bio woman.  As for the typical family life thet is no such thing.  Every family has problems and issues.  It is just one of many.

Once upon a time, yes. I was young and finding my place in the world and wracked by shame, and I was trying hard to get rid of "those feelings" by ignoring them or trying to "be better" at "being a guy," whatever that means. I figured that being a guy was like golf or snowboarding or the mandolin or something, that it was a chore until you got the hang of it. Eventually I got the hang of it, more or less, and realized I was wrong.

But I always wished I could have just been born a girl without any complications about it.

Yes, I would love to have been born with a male mind. I wouldn`t be me but I would not have this problem that i never asked for. And more so be born female with my mind i have now.

Im also with Janet

i would not change anything even the upset, i have worked hard to make my journey an enjoyable one and i would never give that up. Being born a bio girl would of helped save some time though :)

Definitely would not want to change the past. Things have happened I regret but all the good outweighs the bad by far. And there is th learning process, sort like maturing I beleive is good for me.

I would change nothing.  I like my life the way it is.  It isn't perfect, but it's mine.  There are so many things I am so happy and grateful for in my life (mostly my wife) and had I been born any differently, those things would not have been possible.

Seconded.  I wouldn't change a thing, even if there was a magic wand, because there isn't.  One quote I keep reminding myself of: "Women aren't born, they're made."

I've worked very hard to become the woman I am today.  :)
