Well, I don't consider myself "trans" but that is a load of B.S. What is released at the height of sexual excitement is endorphins.

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a healthy sex life (as long as you can tolerate the envy of your friends!)

Quite the contrary! When the "psychological issues" are resolved you have every chance to have a better sex life than many GGs ;)

Jane's about as right as you get on this one, Kareema. Orgasm deos NOT release hormones. That is simply non-factual. And she's also right about the settling of issues and how that is likely to play into your sex-life post op.

I hadn't thought about the fact sexual arousal releases endorphins. Endorphins can react as a natural pain killer. For example a small cut does not hurt in the beginning. That being the case sex is actually good for a headache.

Even if the hormone you are referring to was 'released' it would be into your body not out of it.
(unfortunately we don't have the right parts for a release like that).

Oxytocin is released during orgasm, and thank the creator for that cuz without that release our
bodies would not quiver in ecstasy....Oh what a feeling!

'Honey, I have a headache tonight, lets have sex!....' Sure does have a way of making a headache...
'Release'

I mentioned in another post that a study by D.r Stanley Biber indicated tha 80 to 100% of transsexuals reported having orgasms. It also depends on age. Dr. Biber started the clinic in Trinidad Co. Now it is Marci Bowers running the show. Biber died a few years ago. He first began being a surgeon in a hospital in the Panama Canal Zone. That would be Gorgas Army Hospital. Both of my daughters were born there. It's a small world.

Oh, and Dr. Biber served is a MASH unit in Korea. So I guess having a crossdresser around is appropriate.

It is mostly myth what you are saying. Your sex drive will drop. How much depends upon what kind of prescription your doctor gives you and your own personal body's reaction. For myself, my libdo was in a comma for the first 5 months. I am pretty sure it just a coincidence but for me when I started thinking about sex ~ trying to restore my libdo my prescription became too weak to work. My doctor told me to think things over a month and if I still wanted a sex drive ~ I would have a proestragone added in so that I have the female equivalent of a higher sex drive.

However, what I want to know is if without a sex drive there is any sensitivity in nipples of a sexual nature. My nipples have been sensitive after the first month on Estragen but not once I have felt any level of pleasure from my nipples being sucked on. I am only coming up on six months on hormones and in my mid-20's so I am pretty sure it plays a part but I would love to feel that obvious pleasure that genetic women get from the experience.

The main thing you have to keep in mind is that the lower your sex drive is the hard it will be to orgasm. Not impossible ~ just harder. So, if you have a partner you will have absolutely NOTHING to worry about.

Testosterone is necessary for sex drive in both men and women.
Women have about 10% of the testosterone of a man, mostly made in the adrenal cortex.

If you are on HRT with an effective anti-androgen, your testosterone levels may be lower than a woman's.

After either an orchiectomy of SRS and cessation of anti-androgens your libido should change to that of a genetic woman's.
