I doctored this image to try to see what I might look like if I were to do HRT... Just kinda curious I guess. It felt good to look at it and imagine it was in a mirror instead of on my screen... I bulked up my skinny-ass neck and shoulders and thickened the eyebrows and kinda tinted the beard. I don't know how to go about reducing some of the fat under the skin of my face but I trimmed it a little bit. I also made the lips smaller - do you lose some of the fat in your lips when you fo on hrt? I wasn't sure.

Has anyone else here tried doing this? I think "man me" looks pretty handsome :)
Definitely handsome, Winona.
As far as the lip question goes, mine didn't change at all on T, but I have thin lips. Lots of guys look hawt with fuller lips, including the man-you :)
Dennis
Haha, thanks :) I like guys with fuller lips too, I just didn't know if they would stay or not. This makes me want to transition more that I thought I did o_o
Wow, thats one handsome pic....
I tried something simolar and I'll see if I can either find the origonal or make a new one.... Post FFS pic... ended up looking very much like Kiera Knightly LoL.....
but again thats a very handsome pic....
Thanks :) Kiera Knightly's gorgeous, that's a good way to end up looking :D
Whoa. Wait a second here, Nonie, I thought you described your looks as "girly girl". :D
You're gorgeous! I know the photo's been doctored somewhat, but if you look anything like that...wow.
And the lips...well, you don't want to know what I think about the lips. ;)
Nero
Interesting. I think you should get right on transitioning man. ;)
Marco
Hmmmm.... cute guy!
Just think what hormones will do!
Buffy
That's sooooooooo cool, Nonie! My doctor did something similar to one of my male pictures, but you know, the funny thing is that I don't look like that picture at all...
You know, if I may say this, you resemble that actor (I can't remember his name now) from the movie LA BAMBA. ;), very cute guy by the way!
tinkerbell :icon_chick:
You folks are making me blush :) Too bad I don't really look like that cuz then it would be more flattering, but he's in here somewhere :)
I really look more like this (cept my hair is a lot shorter now):

If I did transition, my wide jaw would probably help me pass. It's funny, when my non-artists friends ever try to draw me they give me a square head :P
okay, maybe I'm inept. Tell me how you guys did this! I want to see myself masculine... though I've already been told I pass fine without T or anything.
And oh, Who looks like Keira Knightley? I frickin' LOVE her. Yum...
Rafe
BTW, if anyone wants to see my pic, email me. I'm too technically challenged to put it on here. My email's on my profile.
It wouldnt let me post here last night.... my little bro messed up my laptop :(
Anyways Nonie.... instead of transitioning how about you and I become the first sucessful full brain transplants in the history of the world? It would get us both what we want with out all the hastle LoL
And Rafe, the Kiera Knightly would be me after FFS.... :D
Rafe - I just did it manually. I have a ton of Photoshop experience. If you have a clear pic I can see if I can doctor it up for you, my email address should show up in my profile :D That goes for anyone else who wants one too, time permitting :)
Hahaha :) Sorry, LynnER, I promised to swap bodies with my best friend from high school already :D Wouldn't it be nice if it were possible though :P
My friend linked me to a website that scans a photo of your face and tell you what celebrities you resemble. My man face got linked to Elvis, Hayden Christiansen, and Ryan Phillipe... Leading me to believe it's totally random, but being likened to Elvis cracked me up :)
Mikko, there is one more change I would make to the picture. I just thought of this. I could still see femaleness in the male picture and I wasn't sure why. It's because in it, you have female lips. With T, these would change to male lips. They wouldn't stick out and probably wouldn't look as shapely. Just a suggestion.
Melissa
I did change them a little. I have pretty huge lips. Hopefully they will look manlier on T, but I was trying to change as little as possible so that I didn't like, get my hopes up for something that wasn't going to happen. But I'm pretty used to them so it won't be a big deal if they don't change :P
Well, I'll just say I'd love to have lips like yours. ;) Maybe I will after enough time.
Melissa
Some guys have big lips. Look at Mick Jagger :P, or Steven Tyler ;)
Marco
Well, here's the best I can do right now (sorry the photo is so dark). I just cut my hair today... Had to leave it at least a little unisex cuz my SO is not very comfortable with everything yet. He's getting better though.
If it weren't for my very girly but absolutely necessary glasses I think I might be able to pass in public. Maybe. If I didn't talk and tried to look sullen. Which I do anyway when I'm alone.

You're looking more manly already Mikko. ;) I have a hard time saying you look better because I'm so insanely jealous of how good of a woman you made, but I'll be supportive and say you look great. :)
Melissa
Aw, thanks, Melissa :D I bet a lot of ts people feel like that about the opposite ts people though :) Sometimes when I look at guys I find myself thinking things like "My god, do they even know how lucky they are? They take that body for granted!" I think they're like, mystical and amazing somehow, I guess because I wasn't born with it... I often have to remind myself that male to females feel mostly the same way I do, even though I keep thinking to myself "How can they throw that away?"
Lately I'm feeling quite confident of how I'll look as a guy though... I'm working hard at preparing for it so I have the best frame to work from :D
Yeah, the way I look at it is that it is your body and you should have the freedom to do with it what you want without fear of retribution. After all, it's you who has to live in it.

Hi Mikko....
Your photo looks great, hair cut looks good and your face shuld change on T. Your Adams apple will be a good gender marker as you have a smooth neck. The picture of the girl is very nice, but get some muscle mass on and you will be a great guy.
I have some photos of myself as a guy and me (now) as Rebecca. I have put them side by side and also have the X-Rays from the FFS work next to each other to show people the changes. Peoples reactions are mostly "You was a good looking guy", which is not what I personally want to hear, BUT ask the girls, they will look at the guy and the guys just look at the guy and don't understand why on earth I ever wanted to be a woman.
One of the worst thing about being TS for me was the jealousy... I always wanted what I never had, I always envied women, their lives, their bodies, yep even their periods, their freedom in wearing clothes and make up..
I can understand why FTM's want to be guys. (apart from the physical things)... there are many advantages and it is STILL a man's world.Men take this for granted and don't actually realize how lucky they are. Having lived as a woman for 6 years now, I can see that more than ever.
Rebecca
Yeah Rebecca, that is a side effect of being male, the male privilege you get. Especially as a white, professional man I see it. I don't think any woman who was comfortable in her body would transition just for that though. But it sure made it easy for me (and transition for me is been ridiculously easy).
But it is harder going the other way, because women are not treated equally in north american society and giving up what shreds of privilege you have for being seen as male and also taking on the stigma as trans is a pretty rough road in some places.
And Nonie, you are hawt in both the male and female pics. Whether you wind up transitioning or finding an alternative that works for you, you'll be fine, looks-wise.
Dennis
Thanks, Dennis :) My SO took me shopping for boy clothes and has advised me to cut my hair shorter... Here I thought he said he needed to ease into it and now he's giving me passing tips :) But his advice is good! I'll post another pic after I finish my workout.
That's great to hear Mikko. :)
Melissa
Mikko;
I took your 'too dark' picture and photoshopped it, lightening everything but the window (which is what threw the camera off, by the way.) For the most part, you're home free, dude! HRT will get you the rest of the way with your face, adding whiskers and coarsening the skin a bit. From the picture you don't need top-surgery (lucky dude!)
PM me an e-mail address and I'll send you the picture!
Karen
PS RE: the 'female' picture -- If they ever perfect brain transplants, c'n we swap?.... :D :D :D
I allready asked her Karen :P
I would have offered, but my body probably looks too female for his tastes. ;) I thought somebody else not as far in transition might be better.
