Title: Bridal Apparell
Post by: BridalBoy on March 05, 2009, 04:39:29 PM
Hello,
As you can tell from my user name, I LOVE Birdal stuff! I have two modern wedding gowns that I love to slip into. Any one else share the same?

The only time I want to get into a wedding dress, is the day I get married.  But not dating can be a problem on getting to the alter.  But maybe someday I will have an SO, wwho I am in love with and they are in love with me.

I would love to try out a bridal gown. They can be very expensive. I have seen used ones at the salvation army store.  Thanks for reminding me. From now on I'll starting watching for sizes. Hopefully a used one has only been used once. That will be fun.

Back when I was using my mother's stuff she only had two dresses one of which was a bridal gown that I was very frustrated I couldn't fit into. I was never jazzed about bridal stuff, but I have spent many days trying to plan what my wedding would be like.

I googled Dennis Rodman in his gown. Not a very pretty sight. He might make a passable CD if he didn't have all of those tatoos and body piercings.

I love wedding dresses, when I got married my bride had two different ones, a white one for the religious ceremony and a gold one for the reception. Both were wedding kebayas over a traditional sarong and real jasmine floral headdress. I didn't even recognise her when I saw her.

This is the style (not her btw!)... http://hablursalju.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/berkat-kebaya-02.jpg (http://hablursalju.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/berkat-kebaya-02.jpg)

I've never gotten around to the white wedding dress, but I was a presenter of a TG bride two years ago in a double bride ceremony and have a very nice  long green gown that was fun to wear then, and which I can wear for any other formal evening that Vicky goes to.

I must confess that I also have a thing for wedding gowns. Although I don't particularly like current strapless styles; I prefer the long-sleeved/high-neck gowns of ... what? the 80s? I also like bridesmaid's gowns -- even ridiculous pastel chiffon puffballs.

However, while I'd like to wear a bridal gown, I don't particularly want to be a bride. Well ... maybe it would be nice to be a bride for a day. But I definitely don't want to be anyone's wife! Ugh!!

The dress, yes, doing the wedding itself, no thanks.  As they say in California (and other places too I'm sure ...) You know why divorces are so expensive?  Because they are worth it.

The marriage part  can get rocky, I know that from direct experience , but all brides look so very lovely. To be able to walk down the aisle in a flowing white  lacy gown, long train, and veil is a dream of mine.
