It's an interesting issue. It's known transgender veterans don't get fair treatment by the VA, but it's questionable to me when we have so many veterans from three significant recent wars and from the Vietnam war who need healthcare for service related physical and mental injuries that the VA should be offering discharged or retired veterans trans-related healthcare, and especially SRS.

The VA has to prioritize their services for the money they have and diverting healthcare for transpatients isn't one would consider service-related. I'm not disagreeing the decision to transistion is personal necessity, but it's not one, as a veteran myself, I would agree is worth the support and services of the VA. There are more than enough non-military healthcare providers for their transision, as I have mine.

Besides would you want a miltiary surgeon performing this surgery they have little if any experience when there already are more experienced and better SRS surgeons currently in the US?
