Quite true, not enough education on the subject or total misunderstanding. I wish people could understand that for most of us, transition is a necessity and a matter of life and death.

You should however correct the part:

Finding an endo is a little missleading as most endos are specialists and deal through referals from other Dr's. The problem that is often encountered is scheduling an appointment. I remember that I had to wait 5 months to get in to see my endo.

Great Article Christina! I really enjoyed reading it..You're so lucky to have found someone else like you to live and transition with. I'm still young (only 19) But i really hope sometime in the near future i find someone that i'm comfortable with knowing who i REALLY am...I'm tired of keeping it a secret and can't wait to just be ME!

I, too, had a little problem with the article though:
