Uhm, so, long story short, dad's job really stinks right now and that lead us to be evicted. My question is, can I still get on welfare or something similar? I won't have an adress, that I know of, soo.... *blink* I dunno if I should waste the gas going to the welfare office or not. I don't know anything about it, I just need some help. lol.
Judging by your profile, you're 20... yeah, you could get on welfare. If you make no money, or very little, you'll qualify for food stamps and most likely general assistance under California law. Honestly, Cali is the best state I know of as far as those programs are concerned. Also, I don't know what area of the state you live in, but there are a couple of places that still have Section 8 housing vouchers available... those allow people of very low income to get a place to live for a tiny fraction of the money they have, regardless of the posted rental price. You should check with your city/county's housing authority for that info.
However, with all that said, do you really want to stay in California? My wife and I fought for 2 years to live there, culminating in my having to move back in with my parents because of financial difficulties due to the high cost of living. Even a short move to Arizona or Nevada would be beneficial to you and your family financially, as the cost of living in those states is far lower than that in Cali.

Alright, kewl. ^.^ So they'll help me move out on my own? I've heard of section 8, but I never really thought about it. I'll ask about it when I'm at the welfare office.
Personally, I want to move out of Cali, but I'm not sure where to. I've been looking around for a cheaper place that doesn't get too hot in the summer. I'm comfortable at about 70-73ish. lol. But that is deffinately an option. Even though my mom would throw a fit. Lol. She's having issues with the 'apron strings'.
Personally, I'm moving to Denver in 2 months. Colorado has the same laws about transgender equality/rights that California has... honestly, probably the most liberal in the country. Denver is a nice-sized metropolis with not only numerous trans resources, but tons of things to do, and at least 5 good universities. If you're like me and support medical marijuana, the laws in California regarding that subject are only slightly more liberal than those in Colorado, though CO is catching up quite well... not to mention that Denver is the only place in the U.S. where the law equates marijuana use/possession to that of alcohol.
Yes, it's about a 15-hour drive from Los Angeles, or a 20-hour drive from San Francisco, but as far as your family goes, just remind them that you can get anywhere in the country within 1-4 hours by plane, and flight costs are significantly less than they were only a few years ago.
Oh, and the temperatures in Colorado can be extreme, but Denver's about the best as far as cities go. Summer temps can get as high as 90, but from March to October or November, it stays around the 60-75 degree range more often than not.

I think my sister lived in Denver a while ago. I'll have to ask her about it more. I don't smoke MJ myself, but I know people who do, so I somewhat support it. lol. I've seen lots of pics of there and it's got some really pretty places. Lots of potential for photography. And I've heard about the weather. Going from nice and warm to a full on blizzard without much warning. pretty crazy. Lol. But it does sound nice. Where I live now is.. well.. desert. o.o lol
I'm about three hours east of LA. that is, IF you count traffic. lol. Have you heard of Hesperia? It's a crappy little city with aboslutely nothing to do. -.-
Sorry, I'm a bit slow sometimes. To where is a 15hour drive?
