Title: I feel like the new kid in school. LOL
Post by: JoshuaDavid on March 15, 2009, 06:10:35 PM
Hey all, my name is Joshua. I'm a FTM transsexual living in Arkansas. I've recently won the victory of a legal name change as well as gender change on my state issued DL  ....  Arkansas courts are not too happy about changing the names of the TG community. I live with my very loving and supportive girlfriend (soon to be finance', I'm proposing on 3/20/09), who has been there for me pre and post transition. I'm a pretty quiet guy, live a quiet life and am really blessed to have come this far. I would have never thought I would EVER have the courage to transition. It took me a long time to do so, but I'm SO glad I did. I'm happy to be a part of this community and hopefully look forward to making some new TG friends!

Hi Joshua,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1900 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another brother.   :icon_hug:

And being you are the new kid, you have to bring donuts for the next month.  I like Maple Bars.  ;D ;D

Janet

Welcome to Susan's, Joshua. New kids in school tend to become assimilated rather qucikly around here. We're very like the Borg.

Hi Joshua
Since you've blabbed about the proposal there are a lot of your sisters, and some brothers (it's not always a guy thing)' who will want the intimate detail. Where did you take her, Did she know, Have you got the ring?, Bended knee or just grovel. What did she wear, did she know in advance to do her nails?

Honey Welcome

I've days of gossip to look forward too :-*

:icon_wave: Hiya's. Congrats on on your name change and the upcomming proposal. Bended knee? *giggle*  As far as feeling like a new school boy,  they are pretty mellow here. Wellll......then again I suspect a few few of the moderators secretly carry a ruler and just wait to smack an unsuspecting students knuckles, lol. Hope all goes well guy and welcome to Susan's. Hugs

Thanks all for the aweomse comments ... as for Dennis .. I'm a buff lil man, I'll fight ya for that lunch money!!

Now ... for the proposal. It will be on her birthday, Friday 3/20. I got a secluded suite at a local B&B, with a fireplace, jacuzzi and country style elegance. I've got a local wedding cake shop making a two tier heart shaped mini-wedding cake as her birthday cake, and instead of the normal Happy Birthday message, it will read, "Will you marry me, Rena". Yes I've got the ring, and its fabulous. I'll have to post some pics of it. I'm pretty sure it will be a very fast acting bended knee ... I'm going to ask her to close her eyes and make a wish before blowing out the candles (they are like sparklers, so it will mask the written proposal) and when she opens her eyes, there I shall be ... on one knee, ring in hand ... probably bawling like a little girl .... I've arranged for a private champagne picnic for two to be delivered to our room for dinner before the whole cake proposal thing, and a private breakfast the next morning as well.

So ladies ... did I do good? I need some input here!!!

Post Merge: March 16, 2009, 07:48:00 PM

Oh ... and she has NO idea about it ... yes, she's gotten her nails done, I make sure I take her to get her fingers and toes done every two weeks ... as for what she's wearing, I'm not sure. If I had my pick, it would be her birthday suit ... but I'm sure she'll have other ideas in mind. LOL

Two Thumbs Up, Hon

;D Awww, thanks Janet! You'd be surprised how often I hear that actually. I'm nothin special. I mean, this woman was with me as Jennifer ... went through surgery with me ... and loves me as Joshua. If I could collect a basket of stars like flowers for her, I would ... She deserves the world, and I just hope I could give her even a little bit of it.

A lot of bio-women at our office want me to give their men lessons. LOL. It's cute. Men need to learn that being a man has nothing to do with being all rugged and rough. Maybe one day, they will. ::)

LOL ... forgive my testosterone driven forgetfullness!!! LOL. So, we went to a local B&B, she LOVED it. It had am amazing wood burning fireplace and inroom hottub. I didn't want to go to a restaraunt and be around a bunch of other people on a friday night, so I arranged a private inroom picnic. OMG< it was DIVINE! So, in it was a fresh fruit cheese and cracker plate, marinated grilled chicken breast over a bed of salad greens and homeade potato salad, an awesome cookie style dessert and a little bubbly, tucked neatly in a traditional picnic basket with checkered table cloth included. She really loved it, and it was SO good. So, after dinner, we layed in bed for a little bit and cuddled watching some TV while our guts settled from gorging on that amazing picnic...

At about 8:00, I turned off the TV and rolled over to face her. We talked for a while about us, our future, the things we love about eachother. I told her she was my fairy tale ... but the roles were a little reversed ... she rescued her man from a lifetime of emptyness. I told her I wanted her to be my happily ever after. We layed there for a little while just embracing and whispering sweet nothings...

Then came the cake. I had a two tier heart shaped wedding style cake for her birthday iced in lavender and ivory. Instead of the traditional HAPPY BIRTHDAY, it asked, Will you marry me, Rena? on its top. I had the top rimmed with sparkler candles that I lit. Had her close her eyes and directed her over to the cake, sit down and make a wish. When she opened her eyes, the room was dark except for the sparklers popping and cracking. She couldnt see the wording at first, so when she stood up to blow the candles out, she read it and looked over at me all shocked ... where she found me on my knee with the ring in my shaking hand... I asked her to be my wife.

I did good with the tears until I saw her eyes well up, my voice was cracking like a 13 year old boy during puberty and tears starting flowing... She accepted, and we couldnt be happier!

We shared some cake and more bubbly while she glared at the rock on her hand. LOL

I lit a bunch of candles and lined the hottub base with them, sprinked some peppermint bath salts into the hot water, and we made love the rest of the night. It was pure magic.

The next morning, the B&B innkeepers brought us breakfast, a candlelight breakfast in our room ... Egg and Cheese Souflee', black forest ham and fresh banana almond bread. We also had great coffee, orange and cranberry juice mixed coctail and an awesome fresh fruit and homemade yogurt parfait. It was the end to a perfect time.

We can't wait to go back!!!

Hope those details are just what you ladies are itching for!!!!

Thanks for wishing me the best, it worked out awesomely!!!

Eh, I'm not all that! I was raised by some amazing women ... my mother and grandmother raised me to become the man I am ... they deserve the praise. If we had more women like them raising our men, the world would be a better place.
