I have been living as a male for close to three years and I am hoping to start T My dad reached his full height in 6th grade, my mom stopped growing fairly young so the T will most likely not stunt my growth. My mom wants me to wait for a while because she doesn't want me to regret it. I'm not sure how she thinks I'll regret it but maybe she thinks that I might later decide that I'm really female or that the T just wont do well at my age.
If you started T at a young age can you please tell me about it or if you know someone can you tell me if they were satisfied?

I think it's only recently that younger kids are being prescribed hormone blockers and hormones, and I'm not sure which age they recommend provided your doctors and parents are on board. I know they're doing hormones for kids in Boston these days but I do think there are a few more hoops to jump through.

There's an excellent MSNBC documentary on this very topic... details an ftm who lived as male from age 8 or so on, then started T around 13 or 14. He went through a lot to get T... most places, as I understand it, will only prescribe hormone blockers to halt puberty until you're 18. However, if your parents are on board with it, you may get lucky and find someone to prescribe you T.
I'm pretty certain there's no one on this site, however, who started T prior to age 18. Doesn't mean we can't try to help you though.
