My dad was small, 5' 6" and he had size 6 (US) feet - made it tough to find shoes but he did.

No one would ever question his masculinity, even so.

I'll trade you mine; by some quirk of nature they're long even for my height. :P

As far as I am concerned, testosterone does not change bone structure nor the size of feet and hands.  This is due to the fact that once puberty is completed, nothing really will reverse its effects.

Oh, I should mention that I am 5' 9" and wear a US men's size 7 1/2 to 8, depending on the shoe, the bottome of the range commonly found in the stores around here.  No one notices that I have small feet for a male with my height unless I tell them - then they all act surprised.

I'm 5' 8" and have size 6.5 feet and usually hit the kids or womens dept for shoes. Most mens stores have size 7 or 7.5 as the smallest. Many times you can find male looking shoes or boots in the womens dept. Hiking boots are popular. I have no idea how you would make them grow. Maybe they make a foot rack you could stretch them out on?? Go ask a podiatrist (foot dr.)

Jaded,

Actually T does change your feet size, and it is usually around 1 solid size ( this is an average) it is also not a sure thing, but is about a 80% likely hood from all the men I have known. It does not tend to hurt, but it will just suddenly be noticeable one day.  Also your bone structure on your face may change some and you will feel pain in the jaw if this happens and can cause some joint problems in the jaws as well.  Noses broaden too, but can vary based on genetics. Hands for some reason do not change like the feet do no one knows why.

Peace,
Taylor

Actually Taylor,

I've heard of hand getting thicker, but not bigger, the thickness being from muscle growth. Apparently that's part of the foot growth as well. Forgive me if I'm wrong though  :)

:eusa_think: Hmmm....

If hands get thicker from more muscle, that gives me hope.  Although my hands aren't that masculine, I wouldn't personally consider them feminine either.  I tend to have VERY strong hands and that would be nice if the muscle reduces.  Already I have noticed they have lost some strength when it comes to opening jars, but I can still usually get them open.

I've had both my feet and hands become larger on T. Feet, about a half size so far. Hands, I don't know, but a friend was commenting the other day that they looked larger and my motorcycle gloves are tighter.

Even if your feet don't get much larger on testosterone, they'll start to look more masculine when you're barefoot, especially with the hair and all. (I'm starting to get hair on my toes, LOL.)

My doctor, who specializes in trans patients, says that one's feet definitely do grow a size or two on T. But shoes don't differ that much from size to size--you probably won't be noticed if your shoes are just a little smaller than everyone else's.

Thickening of hands I have often attributed to the increase of strength, gripping due to increased physical activities etc. And I have to wonder if it is not also due to fat distribution if you will. But actual bone growth I have not been aware of...does not mean it has not happened.  Bone growth does happen with the feet without a doubt, to what percentage, I can believe the 100% reported here, does not suprise me at all.

Peace,
Taylor

Man, J, enough with the feet! Only chicks look at feet, and who knows... maybe they'll think your small feet are cute!

Don't drink coffee. Drink a lot of milk and stretch your feet and toes out a lot

I'm 5'11ish and can fit 8.5 womens and 6.5 mens (US). And nobody ever said anything about thatto me pre transition except one time that I remember and that justwent "wow you have small feet" and I was like "yeah I do" and thatwas the end of it.

Point is dw about it

That's not fact.  It's anecdotal.

Mine never grew at all.  But I started out with larger feet anyway.

Oh yeah, they sure grew. Went from about an 8 to 9-9.5. Maybe it's because I'm younger. I had to wear size 8 shoes after some idiot stole my (almost) brand new shoes at the gym...and they were so tight, so uncomfortable. My only shoes that are 9.5 are my running shoes. Rest I wear 9 comfortably. It sucks in a way though, can't wear my other awesome shoes anymore :O

Wow, this subject's resurfaced from a while back!

But since it's come back and new people may be interested, yes my feet definitely grew on T. And this isn't just anecdotal: I first noticed that my shoes were rubbing and I was getting blisters after about a month on T, so I measured my hands & feet with a ruler on the day I noticed, and have been measuring every couple of months since then.

My hands have grown by about 6mm, which isn't much... but my feet are a very different story. My left foot is 17mm longer today than it was last October, and my right foot is 20mm longer.

This means that instead of wearing a UK size 4 like I used to, I now have to wear a UK size 6.

YMMV, of course.

Mine haven't grown at all. But I'm not too upset by it. I have a decent foot size for my body and I wouldn't really want big ol' boats anyway.

Mine haven't grown. I wear shoes that are made for people who have planar faciatis. They are actually women's shoes. They don't scream women and are a weird brand that no one knows about, so that helps. Also men buy them. Still they are small. I wore men's boots once, actually think they were boys and they were maybe 5s US.

my feet have grown a little during T but its not much and I basically got more or less the same size for shoe.
however if you want to look like you got bigger feet you can always buy shoes half a size bigger than what you wear.
I usunally do that , and I think it fine as long there not too lose, it depends on the shoe and your feet.
but if its only a half size they may just be slightly lose and in worst caise you can buy some thick socks for the winterboots if its winter.

I... might have to put off my next shoe purchase for a while. Those of you whose feet did grow, about how long into taking T did it start/stop and what was the total growth?

My feet must've started growing pretty much right from the start: I started T at the end of last August, and I noticed my shoes were rubbing by mid-October. That's a little over a month on T.

I measured them again in January and again this week: the measurements had changed both times. I don't know whether they've stopped yet.

Oh, and I'm in my 40s, so you wouldn't think they could grow at my age. I guess it's down to luck or genes or the way you respond to T or something.

I think my feet grew or they changed the sizing around here. I used to wear a men's 7.5 but now I wear a 9, which is what I wore in women's before. At least I found some nice shoes when I went to the store, usually it's all ugly sneakers when i go to the department stores.
