It's coming soon. I have anxiety issues, which is a horrible trait to have when I need to begin my Real-Life Experience. I've been seeing my specialist dressed as a girl a lot for some time now, but I haven't really been 'out' that way. I'm about a month and one week in on hormone therapy, and I have a pseudo-'out' opportunity this month: my cousin's wedding. A lot of family will be there. My mom's whole side of the family knows, as does all of the family that I live with. But a lot of them won't know. Anyway, it'll be great fun and I think it'll help me gather my courage and my confidence. I have a very nice outfit to wear to the wedding all picked out, and I'll finally be getting my hair done in a female cut/style. I was a little anxious before, but as the wedding comes closer I'm actually feeling my fear shrink back instead of growing. I think this could turn out well. =)
This is the kind of opportunity many people never get-the "dull sword" effect as I call it. There can be no repercusisions, unlike the "Double-Edge Sword" effect. You can come out to the people who don't know-and they'd better not make a ruckuss at the wedding, or THEY'LL be severly reprimanded. (<<<Lameness)
But in all seriousness, take this opportunity and run with it. It sounds like you have a very supportive family, and this is a great way to be you, release your petals to the world and begin sliding into the sassy shoes that are "I am woman"-hood.

I've been afraid to fully come out to my family.(don't ask, don't tell types) But they seem to already know and seem to want to give me my nice new shoes to slip into :laugh:
