relax I'm not a literal amputee. (not that there's a problem with that ^_^) but I was wondering if anyone here has experienced what I have. I am a mtf transsexual and on many occasions although I am pre-op I swear I've felt the weight of breasts....like the feeling amputee gets when they take an arm it feels like it's still there....
I sometimes feel like that when I really visualize how I want my body to feel.
Oh..... like this?

As soon as I saw it was Springer, I knew it would be yet another BS Story.

Yeah I know lol, I was searching for a bunch of transsexual (Dr.Phil type shows) on youtube, to see experience and such, and then I remember this one because of the title of this thread.
I was doing the searching yesterday
o.o
That person's different.

at first I thought it was strange. but I don't mind it. ^_^ I was just curious about others who may have had "phantom feelings"

I have.
Well if we think that the brain its where we translate the feelings and body information we receive. What if we say that there is a hardwired body map?
Then this body map will tell your body how to grow and what to feel and where. Now if there is the bad luck that the body its discordant with the map. Then we could have the phantom feelings.
Just like ftms have say, that they have this phantom penis feeling.

There are several of us here, this question has come up every once in a while. What was really interesting for me was what happened when I started to grow a real pair of breasts, small as they are. The real pair feels just the same, yet still very different from the phantom -- the real ones get touched by clothes in ways the phantom ones wouldn't.
In a weird sort of way it's pretty cool to have both sets between my legs, even if most of the time I can only get the physical set to work by concentrating on the phantom.

I have phantom curves. :(
i have phantom penis sensations a lot. i totally know what you mean.
When my pillow makes out on me I have phantom orgasms. The pillow just goes to sleep.

Phantom
vagina? How does that work? As someone who has both had one and gotten rid of it... you can't feel them! Well, unless you jump in the pool at juuuuust the right angle...
Me too sometimes I have phantom penis sensation. And I used to have it since years before I came out as a transperson to myself XD

I have. . .Normally when I'm most content, at peace, and in touch with everything inside and out. Sometimes when outside, I can even feel wind blowing through long hair that's not there. . .

Just like other phantom body parts, I'd expect.

From what I've understood, most women do in fact feel it on occasion, like when something is in there. Apparently it is one of the things that make sex enjoyable and childbirth not very. ;)
But it's often pretty easy to not pay attention to one's body parts, which is a good thing as otherwise life would be too full of distractions. Also (and perhaps more to the point), there apparently is some anecdotal evidence that the TS phantom limb effect goes the other way too, so that for instance some pre-op trans men tell how they have a hard time feeling their breasts. I don't know if it's a similar thing, but for me it's often very easy to ignore the physical reality between my legs, to the extent that most of the time it's about as good as not there. It's still easy for me to believe that someone else could have phantom sensations there, though.

Hi Janet
Last night my pillow did say " did the earth move for you too" Then started to snore.
