So after reading Beni's post a bit ago about that, I'm suddenly interested in IA, and was wondering if anyone here has resources for this, maybe even in a self-help way. I'm trying lots of old techniques I used to do to calm and bring myself to a more spiritual level, but they don't work anymore, it's almost as if I'm locked away from myself, and I'm living in the world, trying to find the way, perhaps even through the dark.
So I was wondering if there are people here who may know some self-help activities for it so perhaps I can reconnect with myself through this whole fog of masked perception, and blind following of spur-of-the-moment stuff coming up in my life.
I have no idea where this topic would've belonged, so I decided to throw it in general. :D
Hi there. IA is a pretty new healing modality. My former Fiancee is a IA practicioner, and it has helped me actually quite a bit with my transition and other issues I've had (BTW I've no financial interest in this at all.. It's based in Northern CA / sonoma county, but there are IA people in florida, maine and some places in between.
PM me and I can put you in touch with my former SO, who knows lots about it. You can also GOOGLE intergrated awareness (I know Lancing the founder too..He's interesting in the west sonoma county way). I'm an engineer and while I had questions about it, I've also seen pretty amaizing results.

That's so funny I almost peed my pants, but I live part time in Sonoma County and grew up here, so I know those people all too well.
HEE HEE, west Sonoma, it's not a place, its a different plane of existance. At least for many out that way. Though I have friends out in west county and and I spend time out along the bodaga highway now and then.
While Lancing is an interesting person, I also know that what he does gets real measurable results. I saw an autistic child of 7 who had never spoken before or walk speak in sentences and walk/ run unassisted after two sessions with lancing. The childs parents were amaized and beyound grateful, They had taken the boy to Lancing not expecting much, after exhausting other options. I will never forget that.
My current SO went to my former SO (who's now an IA teacher), They are also good friends (I live a weird life, But we know that...go figure) to have her tarpel tunnel relieved. It helped her enough that her hands no longer hurt, her thumbs work again and it lets her to drive long distances again.
I've been on Lancings table a few times and am a believer (and I was not at the begining). His help and that of my former SO and others along the way did wonders for me with dealing with my transitional Stuff. (Fears, anger, adaptations etc). There were so many ways it's helped with from overcoming fears about going out in public the first times, to getting the hips moving during walking, To learning the relax and be me. I was not the first TS he had worked with either. I found it far more helpful then my theripist, BTW. But YMMV.
