By far, going on HRT was the most positive thing ever to happen to me.  I do much better without the pain, the addiction, the anger, or angst.

I love the E and hope for decent results, but the AA made a HUGE difference to me.  I wish I'd started years ago.  I had always felt like Invasion of the Bodysnatchers or somethig - that this alien presence was attached to my body, giving me bad advice and trying to take over my life (sometimes successfully).  With the anti-androgen I am FAR happier, more relaxed, more open, more better. ;D

I'm not sure how much is the hormones and how much is being out and living the life I always wanted, but mostly I have achieved a deep happiness that I've never experienced before.  (Plus a few intervals of panic and fear. :P)

Yay HRT!

It's always hard to determine whether it's the hormones or if it's simply mental tranquility from knowing you're on hormones (i.e. placebo effect).
Personally, I didn't feel any different.

I know.  I feel pretty much the same but much happier.

A number of people - I think just cis-women - have asked if I feel any different being on the hormones.  I usually explain that the hormone dose is constant, so I don't get a rush of them the way I would if I was cycling.  I also tell them that I'm freer and more open and just so deeply happy but am not sure that any of that is the hormones.  It isn't a placebo effect but rather an effect of finally becoming Katherine.

Can't stop grinning,
Kate ;D

I been on hormones almost a year and other than more emotional, happier, calm, more fun to be around i feel I'm the same person mentally as before hormones. I guess i was expecting like bells, whistles and fireworks going off, but the female brain i had all my life has not changed other than the things mentioned above, and I'm not even sure hrt has had that much to do with those other than my emotions, the rest could be from finally being myself.

Being new, I take it that HRT really makes a difference in a persons mood. My mood has aready changes a lot since I embraced who I am. Therefore, to feel better that what I am? Wow...
