Second life avatars can be hot, but I've never seen one as hot (or graphically sound) as what's in my avatar here... sorry

It's nice, but I don't see what's better about it.
Just the poly-count is much higher. Making it smoother. However that's not to say Second Life isn't good. As it is for what it is, which is a massive online community for many people of most computer stats to play. As such the graphics can't be top tier. Second life does however offer a hell of a lot more customization.
anti-aliasing has more to do with the smoothness than poly count on lo-res models like these. The SL dolls aren't anti-aliased at all which gives the jagged edge appearance. It takes some time to do the edges this way, the reason that real-time animated game figures don't incorporate it that much.
So true! Anyway I didn't mean to offend anyone with second life avatars, as that picture is pretty hot. I was just getting caught up in graphical ability..
Looks Great.... I have a sl image I would love to share; how do you add an Image to my profile?
I always found the computer generated people to be all about style, with very little substance, I'll take a half-way decent drawing from a beginning life drawing class over a computer generated deal any day. They seem to have far more personality, to be far more human.

Another point we agree on. At least for now.

I created my avatar figure on a computer, and while she may not be "human" (which would be an insult to a fairy princess in any case), she does have plenty of personality and she's also made me a small fortune, which qualifies sufficiently as substance to me lol
Increadable. I Just can't get over how much i love it!!

I'm wondering now...is my avatar okay? I wanted one with Adrian and me together. I'm hoping no one considers it provocative...it isnt meant that way. Its just out of all the photos we took of our characters together this was the best....Please let me know if i should change it. :S dont want to break any rules. ^-^
It doesn't seem provocative to me, but you'll have to ask Nichole or another mod if you're concerned about it. They are both clothed and not even touching, appears to be fine.

please explain how... Thank you
It is a composite of 2 computer generated (CG) images of rendered 3d models which took approx. 4-6 hours render time each, not counting the time to create the models or set up the scene (2-3 weeks). It was finished off with some minor postwork in PhotoPaint. The larger image posted here has been greatly reduced from the original in both resolution and dpi, that is, it is not print quality like the original.
it is increadablew... love it
