Okay, here come the zits. Somebody say this isn't permanent! Yuck! I'm practically senile and now I look like a 14 year old boy.
I know zits can be caused by hormonal changes. So I think when your body becomes use to the T the zits aren't as bad.
It's different for everyone as to how long it takes, but I know for most guys it goes away.
About a year.
A year! man that sucks lol
Zits last about a year. your period will last about 30. you decide.
heh. I don't mind spots I just didn't know they lasted that long.
I'm genetically male, and they haven't left yet.....and it can be annoying beyond belief. Since I was 12-13 years old, I've had them in varying amounts. Mind you, my puberty is pretty much done too, so....it all varies on the person I guess *shrugs* :-\
or longer... i've got prescription strength zit cream and they still come. much better now though.
huge shock to the system as i had nearly flawless skin before. But life isn't perfect. I'll take zits over looking like a porcelin doll any day.
So far my zits (on my face) are actually not as bad as they used to be (knock on wood). I have only been on T 10 weeks ish. Need to go check the calendar again. They are worse than before on my back but my face is not nearly as bad.
Myles
still got some on my back. they never go away. :-\ :-\ :-\
I'm just over a year on T and still have spots just on my face though.
Even though I wash my face twice a day with soap/facial wash.
Dunno...

Ahh puberty. Round 2.
My daughter and I fight over the zit cream. I'm closing in on 11 mos on T.
Jay
I have zits now, and I'm pre t (but I have a lot of T naturally).
They stopped coming only when I took the pill, but when I luckily stopped it they returned.
Good Luck. :-\
Uhh, can't say how long they last, 'cuz mine certainly aren't going away any time soon. I can commiserate, though.
Nearly five months on, and my back is a downright mess; so was my dad's when he went through puberty. My back didn't fare so well the first time through puberty, either, but at least the prescription cream I had helped (very effective the first time around, but unfortunately also extremely expensive--about $80 for a small tube). But it's not doing much on this T-inspired acne, I'm afraid. The tight sports bra is not helping matters, either >.<
So yeah, 14-year-old zitty boy... I'm currently rocking that look out.
Ah the joys of the "second" puberty. You guys get zits, I get hot flashes. Fair trade ;-)

Sorry.

Well my two kids both have good luck with Proactiv. You have to order it online, and no, this is not a commercial. You will need to be very diligent about your skin care. Good luck.

Oh god, this thread reminded me of the horrible bacne I used to have when I was a young teenage boy. Getting lanced at the dermo, on accutane, my entire back just covered... I forgot all about that.
Boob pain is far better than that.

Not a trade. I already went through the hot flashes. For a few years, in fact.
But then, I haven't really had the zit problem. I have always had ultra-dry skin, and it looks like I might have dodged the acne bullet. I hope. Anyway, I'm nearly four months on T, and nary a zit in sight. I get one or two here and there, and that's about it.
Maybe I paid in advance with the d***ed hot flashes and night sweats. I remember standing around with a buddy in hundred-plus-degree weather a few summers ago, and saying, "Oh, here comes another one! Too bad it's not winter!"
I do get these funny little bumps on my upper back area, but they're not zits. Anyone have any idea what they might be?
I have those bumps on my back too and have had them forever. I just thought they were a type of zit.
i have been getting those too ever since i started T.
i get a few zits here and there as well...i'm not really prone to spots tho...
