A Christian college in India allows applicants to indicate whether
they are male, female, or transgender when they enroll.

Matt Barber, cultural affairs director at Liberty Counsel, says Madras
Christian College administrators must have misread the book of
Genesis, believing God created male, female, and transgender.

"You know, this is just ridiculous and insane," he contends. "It's
really sad that a Christian college is joining in and entertaining
this leftist, secular, humanist delusion that is ->-bleeped-<-."

It's incredible how they seem unable to read the simple words of the Bible. They persist in reading it as a gender binary as if it said that God created us "male or female." But it says, "male and female [ God ] created them," (Genesis 1:27) and so God, who created people in God's image, is also male and female.

No, they prefer to read it as if God is an old man in a long white beard, and only men are created in God's image. And they feel that women are defective men created in man's image. And so they ignore the rest of the Bible that talks of God as female; like the feminine Shekoni, the presence of god in the world; the female Sophia, Holy Wisdom; and the feminine Holy Spirit. This heretical view of God permeates Christian Fundamentalism.
