Just as the subject line says...I have a sharps container for my needles, but what am I supposed to do with used syringes? I can't help thinking that the answer should be obvious.
This was my first time injecting at home all by my lonesome, and it went great. I'm jazzed. ;D

Hey Arch, the above might help... or borrow a doctors offices pickup box.
Most diabetics I've known put the whole works in the same container. They re-cap the needles and bend them over so junkies don't use them. Then put the whole thing in the container. Maybe things have changed or are different where you are. But usually they give instructions regarding that
put the needle & syringe in the container. when the container is full, take it to a pharmacy, needle exchange, doctor's office or hospital.
Boy, am I a dope. On the BACK of the sharps container, it says to dispose of syringes with the needles, just as y'all are saying. Thanks, folks, for not making me feel like an idiot.
I hope that was my DUH moment for the week...
wait, you mean I've been doing it wrong all this time? I just keep dropping it off at the play ground. o_0 *kidding!*
Yes, back to the pharmacy they go where they are disposed of properly at a medical waste disposal plant.
