Just wanted to share that for 2 months now ive been wearing a waist cinching back brace to try and push some of my side and stomac fat downward. And I know this may sound hard to believe but its visably working. My shape is actually smoothing out and curving!! :D I wish I could start hormones but hey I'll take what I can get. Yup no more love handles and my waist is visably narrower at the belly button. This is just so great that I had to share it!!! ;) Persistance is paying off! 8)

I'm down to last resorts to get any kind of shape no matter how painful it might be. But I'm skeptical and you might find it's tempory when you stop using the brace. I've been on hormones for nearly a decade and I don't have any shape but I'm always open to ideas or new things to try.

Hi NB, on the weekends I dont wear it and the results are the same. I know everybodies a little different but you can do it if you put your mind to it! Plus I love having good news to share when I have it. 8)
is this a specific sort of thing designed for the task? What exactly are you wearing?
I hve a ton to get rid of before I worry about "shape" but I'd like to file it for future reference...

Why? Why not just be a BBW? :)
Following on Laura's question.. what is this thing? Make and model? lol....
I have one of those situations, just a bit of a belly and love handles that are exceedingly stubborn, and so masculine looking in their fatty disposition in a tight top... pushing them to a better place seems like a lovely idea... would like to try it anyway ;)
I've been a corset wearer for special occasions only, they are much too uncomfortable (I have found for me anyway), but the shape they give is beautiful. If this thing is more comfortable, and semi permanent when removed (like say wear it for a couple of days before that big date, then take it off) ... I'm game! :P

I have seen pictures of good results from corset-training, back in the days when there were magazines of personal ads for people living alternative lifestyles in the 80's.

Hi Laura, its called a mcdavis back brace. You can get it at sports authoity for under $40. Its the closest thing to a corsett I can wear all the time and nobody will think twice about it. you see even though Im out to my wife and a few others for the sake of my girls I'm still not coming out fully. Theres alot of ignorant and intolerant people around us and I dont want to make it more tuff on them. So this thing is perfect for me. My hips are actually a half inch bigger and my waist above the bellybutton went from 41" to 33". My hips are now 41and a half-yay!!! 8) 8) When I work up the courage I will post a real pic!

The main selling point of a BBW is big big boobies and a wide fanny.
NOT a lap-over belly without either of those things....
I was thinking more about rib removal & hip enhancement surgeries. I've heard about them but dunno where I can get info about surgeons.

I got a waist slimmer at a Dunham's for $10. Use it when i do cardio and it helps seem to reduce the waist.

If you're serious about rib removal the place to look into is the TSMC in Pittsburgh (run by a TS surgeon).
As for waist improvement, I also got a cincher thing but I never ended up wearing it. However, I've managed to lose a full inch by occasional stretching, and by occasional i mean 1-2 minutes at a time, 3-7 times a week. It's just a simple side stretch: You put one arm over your head so that your head is kind of snug in your elbow, and then bend sideways in the other direction. The purpose of the arm over the head is to keep your spine straight, and it also adds a little extra stretch. For more stretch you can cross the leg on the same side over the other one, so that both of the limbs are bending toward the other side, magnifying the stretch on the waist area.
I was skeptical when someone else suggested it on here, but it definitely works, and for so little effort too :).
p.s., if anyone wants my barely used cincher thing it's one of these:

Size is 26C small or medium, so it's on the small end for most originally-male-bodied folks, but figured I'd ask just in case!
I also once purchased a girdle (a kind of corset) just for curiosity, but I have never worn it. Just tried once, and I could not enture the tightness in my belly. I thought wearing it would seriously damange my health. The girdle sleeps at my closet for 3 years.
The only way to improve waist is running for more than 40 minutes, or walking very fast nearly everyday. Effects of other methods are just temporarily, and do not last long.
Just ago I biked for 2 hours. I will run to my home soon for about 7 kim or 4 miles, which takes 40 minutes.
My height is 6 feet. My goal is to maintain just 26 inch, and it is getting more difficult with my age.

Barbie, amazing pic, and an even more beautiful waistline... motivation to get off my duff, and get the waistline that I've dreamed of .. the old fashioned way ===>
Exercise and good eating.
But in the meanwhile, I'm still going to try that back brace, *giggles*, even though the affects are most likely temporary ;) . It would be lovely to see some fatty material deposited (ie smushed) into my rather vacant hips....
