Title: Help with birth certificate changes via court order
Post by: Audrey on July 08, 2009, 03:59:14 PM
so heres the scoop.  I have completed my name change, and recently my gender change.  I have to have a court order to seal my records and am wondering if any law savy people out there can check them over for me.  Basically all I did was use the name change form and subsitituted name for gender.

Then on the order I added bullets stating my name, birth date, and place of birth, and on line 2 request that my gender having been changed by surgical procedure shall be amended and a new birht record issued.  Line 3 is the order to seal the record.

Any suggestions.  I can email you the forms if someone could help me out.

I went and talked to the district court clerk and she gave me some under the table advice.  Technically they cant tell you how to modify the forms as that somehow is considered legal advice??  Montana doesnt have a form to do this with so I have to alter the name change form

In Oregon, that how it is done.  Unless you want to do it all at one time.  ???
