So, summer and my hair's thinner texture is making it an absolute hindrance being longer. I'm looking for a shorter hair style where I keep some bang length, my ears covered, but without getting in the way of things, and still make me look more feminine/androgynous. So, it's a delicate balance cause some shorter hair can emphasize my masculine features, and I need to keep that from happening. Any suggestions or photos of hair I can think about?

I do not know how hot it is were you are but I live in bakersfield ca and I can promise you its hot hot hot.
I do not like hair that is to short on me either for pretty mush the same reasons. So ive developed my comfort line just right were my neck curves out to my shoulders. Thats it! thats as short as I go for now. If its still hot O well it wouldn't be the first time I was uncomfortable because I was more worried about how I look lol ;D
Good Luck

I hate being hot. My personal thermostat is set quite high, so whatever I can do to keep cool, you know? My hair was about 1/3 the way down my back 2 yrs ago, but now, my comfort level has expanded to as short as you see in my avatar, although on any given day it looks lots better than this...more lift, more body. It covers the ears, it's off the back of my neck, and looks feminine enough.
I used to think hair had to be long to be feminine. Getting it cut short the first time was the nail-biter, but now I can't stand it when it gets an inch longer.

I realize this was last summer and now the temp is down to 15° where I'm at but summer 2010 is coming, so I thought I'd throw my 2¢ in now. Have you tried a google search for "androgynous hairstyles"? What I saw on the first few pages were great. It's a bit young for me but I thought you might like to know.
