Title: Cheapest Plastic Surgeon
Post by: Paulina on July 10, 2009, 12:59:17 AM
I need the cheapest doctors for FFS (nose job, lip augmentation, and laser skin resurfacing). In average prices it would be around $8,000.

Anyone know of the cheapest doctor? I think I can only afford about up to $4,000, but I am hoping around $2,000.

You would want cheap plastic why?  Don't you get what you pay for?

$100 probably gets you Dr Nick Riviera and his Dremel :)

I don't need much surgery.

Hey, I'll do it for 2K, just sign the wavier.  (how much harder could it be than stage construction?  Forty foot rule right?)

So?  You're missing the point.  You have to pay for the OR suite, the nurses, the anesthesiologist and your surgeon.  It doesn't cost $2k, at least in the US.  if you're going to travel, by the time you factor in flights and hotels, you're still over $2k.

Get a second job.  Save more $ and try again.

That's not really 'FFS', you aren't touching any bone and doing anything to specialized, and really any cosmetic surgeon should be able to do all of those procedures, imo.  Shop the surgeons in your area,  play them against each other, *smiles*.

I think there's a rule that if a surgeon does "FFS", it automatically doubles the price.  Just go in to a regular cosmetic surgeon, say ya want a nose like Drew Barrymore, lips like Angelina Jolie, and skin like Johnny Depp, ;)

Good Luck, *huggs*,
Melan

I know the costs of FFS can take your breath away, but there's a saying: "Buy cheap...buy twice". Most of the better FFS surgeons will be happy to show you pictures of botched jobs they fixed for a price.

I paid a little over $7000 for anesthesia and OR costs.  Then again, I had a lot more than what you are looking for.

As a couple others have said - lip augmentation, skin resurfacing, and a nose job.  Any respectable plastic surgeon should be able to do that stuff.  I can't say on the costs, but it shouldn't be too bad.  Be careful when going out of the country, as travel costs add up fast.

I've searched around a good deal as finances were my primary concern. The two lowest priced surgeons I could find that are still very talented was Dr. Konior in Chicago and the Agave Clinic in Spain. Even my fairly crummy surgeon here in Boise quoted me a good 30% over them. Dr. Konior quoted me at 15,000 for brow, nose, and chin with a student discount to ~13,800. The Agave Clinic gave roughly the same price, they also offer a 10% discount for letting them post your before and afters. I doubt you can get what you want done for under $8,000 with a decent surgeon. Rhino alone for even 2,000? Please.

So far I have met three in Boise and I was pretty surprised honestly. One in a very liberal coffee shop, one through school who just transitioned to fulltime this semester, and one through my former therapist. Most people here still have no idea what transsexual even means but Boise is way more liberal than anywhere else in Idaho seems.

In general, you will find better deals on FFS locally than going to any of the TG specialists.  If you stick to soft tissue only then there are very capable cos. surgeons in most every state.

Just remember:

1.  Go to one of the TG specialists if you have significant male structure on your brow and forehead.  This procedure is different from what cos. surgeons do on Born physically women.

2.  Interview several surgeons and be very specific about your expectations. Judge them by their response and their confidence.

Last year, I had FFS- chin implant, upper lip reduction, face and neck lift, rhinoplasty, lip and cheek augmentation.  The TG surgeons wanted $20,000.  I found a surgeon in my city who did it for $12,000.  I am pleased with the result.  I am 58 years old and people who meet me think I am in my 40s.
So, here I am with 30something breasts, 40something face and a 50something brain.  WooHoo!
