There is no set way to pick a name hun. You can narrow it down a little based on a few things. Such as, look at the names that start with the same letter as your current one. You can google "what do names mean?" and pick one that means what you like it to mean. If you didn't know, Vanessa means butterfly, from ancient Greek, stemming from Phanessa, the Greek goddess  :). Or you can just ask everyone to suggest names and pick one that sounds right to you. Anyways, hope this helps. Big hug!

Chose something that matches your initials. Go on the net and look up names for babies. My birth name is Eldred Gene Slagowski. There is no way to make anything feminine out of that. Eldreda? Nor even! That is a name BTW. Gene became Genevieve. Slagowski became Swann. Eldred will become Eva if ever needed. Some of my sisters at flickr helped out. Looking up baby names for girls is probably the easiest. You can find names from many different countries. French and Latina names are very femme.

Well, I don't want to sound like such a party pooper (don't give me that look!  ;)), but is there anything wrong with your current last name hun? Last names are a lot broader than first names and tend to be gender neutral (a few exceptions of course).

cblucky, Dear, You realise indecision is a feminine trait. You are well on your way transitioning. Also you can retain the prerogative to change your mind at any given moment. Are you going to let us know what to call you afterward? Hugs,Gen

It sounds nice. Some persons will give nicknames. You may have to correct them. For example Jessy sounds like a boys name. You may have let them know it's JESSICA!   Miss Steele, I'm very happy to meet you.

hey, that's my real middle name...as a female anyway. now instead of nekeisha fawn a. it's gonna be kody lee a.  i still don't understand why people like that name. it sucks to have it if you've had it for 20 years.
