I am forced to take Spiro, Estrogen, Finasteride & Progesterone all 4 at the SAME time at night cos it disturbs me in many ways when taken morning. As spiro itself has a very powerful taste of mint, I am curious if it collides with the other stuffs which I take as Finasteride, Estrogen & Progesterone and overwhelm them, making them work less efficiently?
Hi Shelina,
I take spiro, estrogen, and progesterone all together and they work just fine. :)
Congratulations on finally getting it sorted ;)
Divided doses are arguably better...may I ask what the disturbance you mentioned is?

Taken in the morning, Spiro makes me have a burning sensation in my stomach and makes me wants to go to toilet often, the type of estrogen I take is very potent and makes my head have terrible migraines(as I am new I need to take these and later I'll plan to shift to less potent ones), progesterone makes me feel dizzy and drowsy, finasteride generally no problem. That's why I take all of them at night cos when I sleep I don't feel anything.

*sigh* so true! And how do you know what's doing what and truly bothering you if ya take all at the same time? Progesterone
in cream form is much more balanced & effective, Casodex's half-life of up to 9 days is far more potent and infrequent (thus easier) than finasteride and as far as Spiro is concerned "go to toilet often" means it's working but a daily dose all at once does kinda defeat it's purpose (not to mention possibly hard on the stomach) . . .
Eat before taking, perhaps that will help?

Cos I once tried experimenting taking spiro sublingually (stupid I know) and it tasted like hell, something like a very powerful mint exuding burning sensations. That's why I wondered whether this powerful thing overwhelms the others.
Eating before swallowing spirnoloactone helps a hundred percent, literally. In order to do any good taking a med sublingually, it needs to be micronized, and spiro is not. I bet that did hurt, good lord, and I hope you took it as a warning not to fool around with these things.
