Hello everyone!
I haven't been here in quite a long time. A friend and I were discussing various places on the net we had visited over the course of our transitions when I remembered all of the great people and information I had found here. Feels like a lifetime ago now, and I suppose it was in many ways.
It was 22 months ago and I had just come out of a terrible nervous breakdown from years of denying who I was. I was scared, alone, and searching for answers to all these questions I had. Luckily many friendly people here gave me great advice and information which allowed me to move ahead.
Since those dark days nearly two years ago, the following has happened:
Received a clean bill of health from my GP (09/07)
Started electrolysis and laser (ugh... 22 months and STILL not completely done!) (10/07)
Diagnosed GID (10/07)
Referred to endocrinologist (10/07)
Came out to friends, family, and employer (11/07 - 03/08)
Began HRT (03/08)
Began living full time (08/08)
Lost my job due to transition (11/08)
Ended my relationship with my father (03/09)
Started new career in stealth (06/09)
Received approval for GRS (07/09)
GRS scheduled for March 4th, 2010. (my birthday)
Its a simple point form of what has happened, but I am overjoyed to be able to tell you all how amazingly happy I am living as the woman I always was inside. HRT has done some very amazing things to me and I am almost completely unrecognizable from the person I was two years ago.
Luckily, I blend in nearly perfectly. No odd looks or anything anymore. Even the people I work with have no idea.
It has been an amazing journey, and I would be happy to tell you more of my experiences or answer any questions you may have.
Much love,
~*Breanna*~
