Many years ago the Philadelphia Ace Examiner encountered someone who assured him that he would like sex and that the author of this piece would want to have more sex as soon as he tried intercourse the first time. Many people also have the same reaction. Trying to come out as asexual has its own problems. A lack of attraction to either gender does not cause the same reactions that coming out as a gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered invidividual. In the former cases it causes conflict, in the latter case it causes bafflement and disbelief.
