I have cousins here, who don't know about my situation..
They have a small boy (5.. and a half! ^^) years old, going to first grade.
In hebrew, almost every word is gender based.
So at one point he asked his mother out loud "I don't understand, why are you referring her as a he" :D
I wore extra large unisex cloths btw, avoided letting anyone see my breasts :D
Later he was a bit in my room and talked with me and see my plush animals, he's so cute! ^^
His brother didn't come and I asked him a little about him, he asked me how I know him - I said that we are cousins.. so he was like "I am in your family?!"..
A bit later he said "I like being part of your family" :) I am starting to love kids more and more ^^
Children are so honest.
You passed completely to this young one!!!

AWWWW!! What a sweet story. What was his mother's reply to his question about calling you 'he'?
Kids can be so blatantly honest (sometimes in not good ways). You are so lucky to have been defended so.

Hi, Brenda how are you, hun?
His mother doesn't know about the situation, she just thought I am a he and told him her opinion :D
though I am not sure that he is treating me totally as to a guy.. I think the first impression is affecting him. (which is precisely why I am thinking that if you don't pass completely, it is totally different.
Fantastic story..
Children see what they see. They can be the first to spot you, or more blessedly, the first to see the real you.
Thank you so much for sharing.. Maybe his innocent acceptance will help to soften their backs. :eusa_pray:
That is a cute story. BTW, in your photo you look so much like a female I would have a hard time soaking in that you could possibly be a male!

I was going to mention the same thing. Children are much less discerning about facial based gender identification. Your soften looks and long hair probably swung him to identifying you as female. Not a bad thing, if you ask me. You are very pretty!
