Title: Lieberman: ‘There’s No Reason’ To Deal With The Uninsured Until After The Recess
Post by: LordKAT on August 23, 2009, 10:48:36 PM
Opinions? article found on Think Progress site.

This is the quote it is referring to:

LIEBERMAN: Morally, everyone of us would like to cover every American with health insurance but that's where you spend most of the trillion dollars plus, or a little less that is estimated, the estimate said this health care plan will cost. And I'm afraid we've got to think about putting a lot of that off until the economy is out of recession. There's no reason we have to do it all now.

Nope no reason at all unless you know, you happen to be uninsured.

It's not expected to go into effect for 4 years, and it will create jobs in the meantime and start reducing costs for those who already pay, but no, I see no reason, no reason at all.  ::)

Not my place to comment (I LOVE THAT LINE :  laugh:)

How come a country can spend billions and trillions on warfare etc, and cannot provide health care to the citizens.

Makes lots of sense to me.
