Title: A question?
Post by: xsocialworker on August 27, 2009, 08:47:21 AM
Why do a lot of "CD's" assert that they love wearing nylon and hose? When I was working in the male role, I could not stand ties. When I started working in the female role, hose seemed as oppressive as ties used to. None of the GG's I worked with ever wore hose if they had a choice. I've noticed that TS's at events for gender issues tend to dress like GG's and crossdressers often wear hose.  (personally, the best thing that I found associated with ties and pantihose was how good it felt when you took them off. I always associated hose with dress codes designed to oppress women in the work place ). Beside, gender acceptable clothing in the work place is an anomaly and a puzzle. In my pic, I am at work in a t-shirt. This would get me a reprimand when I was a dude at work. Wearing a skirt with hose or no hose woulda gotten me sent home. OMG!

Thoughts?

I was attracted to nylone stockings when I was 4 years old. A lady who stayed at my house took off stockings and left them around me. At midnight I woke up to see it. I tried to wear them, but unexpectedly they were too big for my little legs. I do not know why I expected that they would fit to my legs. My mom woke up and helped me wear them. They were too loose for my legs. I was very disappointed.

Thereafter I always had fetishism on stockings, but I always hid it as my secret. Eventually, I tried to purchase and wear them when I was later teen. I again disappointed that they were just a kind of textile, not anything more.

I was always attracted women's legs in nylone, especially in advertisement and covers. Those legs were so much sexy and beautiful to my eyes. Finally, I realized that those legs I was fascinated with are actually my own legs.

I was especially fascinated with advertisement or cover photos of Calvin Klein hoisery. CK's advertisements are all admirable. The pose and the angle... They are extraordinary. I could feel the effort and time of anonymous photographers and models.

Actually I tried several difficult poses to imitate CK models. As an amateur, taking the same pose was extremely difficult. The following is my first try to mimic a CK model.

Does it depend on where you live and climate?

Personally I like wearing hose and stockings. Especially the colorful stuff.

There are times when I like to wear ties, and times when I like to wear hose/stockings. I agree with Nicky in that I like the colorful stuff.

Well, here's a wild guess...

Since most CDs live their lives as male, shaving their legs would be noticeable by others.  Pantyhose, on the other hand, give the appearance of smooth legs without the commitment to hairlessness.

I realised that I have done just that myself - i.e. wear tights to cover leg hair. I tend to shave it regulalry now but it still grows so fast on my testosterone fueld body that there are times you get caught a bit furry. I also have a number of scars on my legs so tights are good for hiding those yet still allow me to wear skirts.

+ in winter they help keep the legs warm
+ also they help with modestly when wearing something short. It is easier to hide your stuff in black tights than just a pair of white panties.

I love wearing hose, because it helps me feel feminine. I think why CD wear hose, it something that only women do. Women can wear ties as well and some do with an outfit, but you never see men who are not cross dressers wearing hose, so it connects you to woman.

I was always attracted to womans legs in hose, it looks sexy.

When I started out as a CD, hose was the first item I tried on, plus when you just shaved you legs it's an amazing feeling wearing them..

Just got back from a Brazilian steak house. I saw almost all of the younger women in dresses without hose or jeans. The older women tend to wear capris , but with open toe sandals. I didn't see anyone in hose. It seems like hose is becoming past tense along with hats, gloves, veils, and burkas. Of course this is Floriduh.

Ladies here wear nylon stockings under skirt in winter. Yes. It is true that nowadays more ladies wear tights or leggings instead of stockings. Nevertheless, I see nylon stockings at every 24-hour convenient stores, but not leggings. In spring and even in summer, some young women wear super-tight nude stockings to emphasize leg lines. During marathon, I saw some women wear such tight stockings.

Because of my continuing sporting activities I shower frequently with other actively sporting males, so leg shaving is definitely off the menu.
I wear two pairs of panty-hose, one frequently patterned.  This effectively hides the hairs and makes my legs look and feel femme.
I did once shave my legs when I was living abroad and I remember the feeling of hose on freshly shaved legs.  I agree, it's wonderful.
To get away with no hose you must be very young and shave as well

I tend to wear hose in winter, and like thicker colourful patterns, they keep my legs warm. I sometimes wear hose for a particular outfit or pair of shoes. When I wear jeans or 3/4 legs/capri etc, NO, really bright toe polish and show them off.

IMO there is nothing as sexy feeling as bare, shaved legs, a short skirt or dress, really pretty panties, and walk the walk.

Cindy,
who is wearing a turtle neck sweater. long skirt, 15 denier hose (grey with a cute pattern) high boots and yes it isn't Florida.

Many CDs I know say they love the feeling of hose on freshly shaved legs. I wear them only when wearing a dress or skirt. Sometimes not even then. Pantyhose are warmer in foul weather. Stockings and a garter just looks sexy.

Who the hell would wear pantyhose in late August in Florida?  Your post proves nothing.

I've always been attracted to stockings for some reason. I still wish my wife would wear them more often.

Then again when I was dressing there were days (esp hot days) when I just didn't bother. So I can understand not wanting to wear them.

As for ties , I tended to like ties growing up too but I only wore them at special occasions. I'm sure if I had to wear them every day to work, I would not like them.

It's rather chilly here in Nashville. I did not bring clothes for fall. Short hot pants, shoulderless tees and one-piece dresses. All for hot summers, except a pair of trousers. The trousers are uncomfortable. So, I should wear stockings under my demin hot pants to warm my legs.

My guess why GG's don't wear pantihose these days is because it's a generational thing.  The older ladies where expected to when they worked in the office back in the day, but in today's office environment, dress codes are much more lax.
If anything, I'd choose thigh highs...pantihose are a pain in the @*$#

Viv. Yes. Yesterday I wore thigh highs. They were so tight and I could hide the band areas under my short pants, although they were sometimes exposed when I sat. As few ladies here wear stockings, I think more people watched my legs as they are a little bit striking. Nude stockings are still nice to show off your legs.

I am one of those CD's who enjoy wearing pantyhose.  I also shave my legs.  I like the feel of nylon on my legs.  I can see why younger women would prefer to wear no stockings.  Young legs look good without stockings.  Those of us who are middle aged or beyond need a little help to cover up the inevitable marks of age.

I also am one of those men who enjoy wearing ties.  I wear a tie to work just about every day.  Ties are the one item of male attire that allows us to indulge in colors and patterns beyond the usual black/blue/brown of male plumage.

I grew up where pants must be blue black or brown, I tried to tell my kids of that and they wore pink and stuff.
Weird.  Maybe cause they were girls but, I still think in blue black and brown.

I like color in ties and shirts tho.

Here in the Atlanta airport, I saw legs of young and aged woman. I saw just one young lady who has skin as smooth as mine. Others have some hairs in their legs and even many tiny dots. Despite slight hairs and dots, they looked healthy and of course beautiful. At least, they seem to have some confidence in their body shape and legs.

Yes. A lot of women here wear blue jeans of probably size > US women's 50. I also noticed a woman on the wheel chair in the airport. She wore makeup, looking so much sexy. Her legs were too much slender, but her upper body was so much well shaped. A man escotred her, and she looked so much happy. I realized that even hadicaped woman can cherish and enjoy her beauty so much. Then why not me?
