Today I did something I don't think I've ever done before. I attended an event against discrimination, and such, and while the focus was on racism, and such, I also spoke up and brought up even just a little bit on gay and lesbian people (not courageous enough yet for transgender). After the event was over, a young guy came up to me and thanked me for speaking up, and we traded names (he was gay). After I proceeded to talk to the woman leading it, and we discussed a little, and I started crying when we discussed it, and discrimination, and that where I came from being conservative and what not. It was a very powerful moment for me going to this event today. I met someone else in the world that fully understood the pains of discrimination and she showed a great deal of care I seldom found where I spent most of my life living in before.
Good on you :eusa_dance: :eusa_clap:
That is exactly what we need to do. And guess what? After the first time it gets easier, and you have met two new friends. Awesome :-*

Sounds like a positive experience. Human rights are for everyone. The more people speak up in a positive way, the more other people begin to listen and understand. :icon_chick:
Good for you, Doll
Just another step,
on the path leading to...
YOU
Congratulations, and from all of us, thank you!
