Hi. I'm a biological teenage female who recently came out to my parents and friends as transgendered. Luckily for me, my friends weren't in the least surprised and accepted me on the spot, and my parents handled and are handling it extremely well. Thats more than I ever hoped for, so, like I said, lucky for me. But everyone needs support, and when it gets hard to deal with the repercussions of coming out, I'm hoping I can turn here.
Looking forward to getting to know this community.
PS I have Aspergers and am proud of it. Anybody else out there with AS?
Welcome to Susan's.
We are here for you and as you read you will find a lot of debate on the relation between aspergers type stuff and trans type stuff.
Nice to meet ya.
Hi Junpei,
Nice to meet you! It's great that you've had positive reactions and support from the people in your life, but it definitely helps to have the forums and chat here to ask questions, relate to others' experiences, commiserate, and just have a group of people who might be able to understand what you're going through better than cisgender (non-trans peeps) might. :)
In the few months that I've been here, I've gone from nervous and tentative, to feeling like I fit right in and "belong" as part of this great big family. My suggestion to new members here is just start posting and sharing your experiences and questions. Pretty much everyone here is friendly and helpful, and I'm sure you'll get used to this place in no time.
Welcome! :D
Hi Junpei, :icon_wave:
Welcome to our little family. Over 3100 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.
Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams. Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.
But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother. :icon_hug:

Welcome, Junpei. :)
It's wonderful people have been accepting of you. I've had a very smooth transition so far but have plenty of those times when I feel sorry for myself or need to complain. :P I've found the people here very supportive. It's nice to have people to "talk" to who know from their experience what you're going through.
Good luck and happy discovering.
- Kate
Thank you for the welcome, all of you.
