I am 5'4 or 164cm, depending what you use.
Weighting around 61-63 KG at the moment.
Thing is, I my belly seems to be really further away from my body, if I stand relaxed, it is probably as pronounced as my breasts.
As long as I wear loss shirts, I seem to be quite fine, wearing tight shirts, people notice it.
I am not sure if just losing weight will solve it.
Maybe the muscles are just too loss and I need to work them again?
Lately I lost about 4-6 kilograms (from about 65-67kg to 61-63) and still haven't noticed a difference in my belly.
I used to be near 90 kilograms in the past for several years.
Years of depression were bad for my weight.
Any ideas?
Oh I'd love feedback on this too as I've got a little gut on me.. sticks out further than my chest when I'm binding.
Sit ups and crunches have helped me. If someone has a better idea, I'd love to hear it.
When we exercise and diet, the belly is the last body area that begins to take away fat. This means that you should loose overall body weight to evetually take away the belly fat. There is no exercise that can diminish fat amount only in a specific body area.
Other exercises to strengthen the abdominal muscles can tighten your belly, but they are effective after loosing some weight.
The only solution is running slowly or walk very fast at least for 40 minutes everyday.

Well, where is the belly weight situated? If it's around/below the navel, it's female type belly fat which is actually normal and hard to get rid of. If it's more of a 'gut', that's different.
Myself, your weight is normal for females of your height, about the norm I'd say. Are you on HRT?
I am on HRT yes, I barely have muscles mass but rather a lot of fat percentage (always had, even before HRT).
my belly button is a bit forward out of my body because of it and the fat goes a bit up too.
I was overweight (almost 90kg, around 88) for few years and then dropped to average of 66-67kg about year and a half ago.
I been on estrogens and antiandrogens since may last year, stopped estrogens 3 or 4 months later and restarted estrogens a bit over a month ago (long story).
I'd say my fat is more male type there rather than female type.
Here are two simple exercises any person can do. 1) Lie on your back on the ground with both of your hands by your side; now do imaginary cycling (as you would pedal the cycle) with your legs for about five minutes (make sure you take a break in between).
2) Get a skipping rope. Do skipping for about half an hour daily .
You do these two simple exercises religiously for about a month and you will notice the difference.
If you get certain make-up you can have the illusion of abs and a small belly. Even Mariah Carey did it for a mag a while back...So even the skinny do look a little chunky sometimes.
I don't want make-up-abs. I can't understand why Anyone would want them.
I agree!
and I don't think abs are really what people look in women either O_o
I also seem to have quite a shirt torso/long leg thing, as well as high hips (they end quite a bit above my belly button).
That all leaves me with the ability to put a finger, two fingers if I want to hurt myself, between my ribs and hips.
I am not sure if that's what makes me look wider than I am or my extra fat :X
