I go too this forum it is not a hate site and there are a number of nice people there. However most of the males are completely open about their hatred of transsexuals. Below is just a small representative sample of the abuse I get. (I am LB btw).

[You will need to be more specific Mark. Start by defining your terms, your post contained a number of words that need defining vis a vis mens' rights. Give examples of what you mean by 'fairness', in what ways are the Courts unfair to men at present? Your half sentence 'equality in all aspects of society with women',strongly implies that men at present are inferior to women, give examples of this please.
Mark I suspect that you want to live in the '50s, where you go out to work each day and your wife stays at home cooking and cleaning and raising the children. That is the reason you go on about mens' rights. You are offended that men can no longer be the nobody at work but king in his own home. You feel that not only are you a nobody socially, but with womens' liberation you men can't lord it at home anymore. Also, many men resent deeply having to compete with women for jobs and promotions.] My Comments.
Where do you live? What's your address? I'm very interested in meeting you.

"Dumb. Just like any Christian knows, you are suppose to spread the word of God, but let others see for themselves. You are not to try to impose your will on others, through harassment - (even though that's what I do - "do as I say, don't do as I do." It's in the Bible. Trust me.) because everyone knows, if you try harassing people, it will most likely have an adverse effect (and that's where IhateMen's Vegetta went wrong, cuz he didn't know his Bible.) You only try for so long, and you move along - since others may be more easy to manipulate, and one can not stay in one place too long. Obviously you will never care about mens' rights, (and I'm DEAD serious here LB in that I don't know where transexuals fit into all this. Never looked into what rights they even have, except your Basic Human Rights. I don't know if courts would consider you a man or woman in family law.. Probably a man, since courts don't pretend in the end, like your "friend"....jane.) so there's no point in speaking to you about them any longer. The Lake of fire isn't pretty LB. Demons and ->-bleeped-<- flying around. And your faory-princess ass couldn't out-fly them. Wings of fire would burn your wings, and as you make your descent into the molten lava, you will ask yourself "Why didn't I listen to Monty?"

Poor Mark he is a pathetic shadow of the Mark that I knew at IHM. AA if she were here wouldn't even bother talking to you.
None of the so-called Mens' rights activists here can explain exactly what rights men want from society. They can only give generalised accounts. Perhaps Mark can scratch his head, pace up and down his room, and dig deep and come up with some concrete demands?
I want to see a bullet point list of the major demands of the Mens' rights movement. I will start you off. What does the MRM think of abortion? What is their stance on divorce, and what changes would they like to see enacted and implemented?
LB: What rights do men want?
Mark: We want rights for men!
LB: Yes you have said that before, but give me specific examples.
Mark: Err.
LB: Yes?
Mark: Umm (long pause) err, we want umm...err(Mark looks long and hard at his feet and falls silent).
LB: Mark what about abortion, what does the MRM think of that?
Mark: Well...err some men are against abortion, while some err are for it, and others say it depends upon individual circumstances.
LB: So the MRM has no concrete policy on abortion, and some might say that the MRM is hopelessly divided on abortion.
Mark:Err, umm...(Mark speaks in a barely audible whisper) yeah.
LB: Please speak up Mark I didn't hear that last word.
Mark:(angry and almost shouting) I said "yes"!!
LB:What is the MRM's stance on divorce Mark?
Mark:(Mark feels relieved he is now on firmer ground) We want bitches to stop divorcing us and claiming child support from the fathers of their children!! Men should be able to divorce bitches, and not the other way around, and men also want the legal right to pay child support only if they want to. However, most men will probably want to pay something towards supporting their children. We at the MRM think $10.00USD a week is a reasonable sum.
LB:(Shocked by the barely concealed misogny lurking at the heart of the MRM: replies) First of all Mark the word is women and not bitches. Second if a man fathers a child he must provide adequate social, emotional, and financial support for his children until they are 18.
Mark:(dancing about and shouting) I hate bitches, I have always hated bitches! There I have said it!! It feels so good not to hide my virulent misogny any longer behind a false mask of mens' rights!!!
LB:(A little taken aback, but not entirely surprised by this outburst) Mark please change your ways. If you don't you will be one of those men who always smells of pee, you will have green teeth and and be dirty and dishevelled. You will die a lonely and toothless old man. They probably won't find your body for weeks.
Mark:(still dancing jubilantly and oblivious to LB's warnings) I hate bitches, I hate bitches...

This is an interview between JebusCribbins and LB:
Jebus: Hi, LB. Good to have you here. How do you feel about no longer having a penis?
LB: You are a horrible little boy
Jebus: Ok, but how do you feel about not having a penis?
LB: It is past your bed time
Jebus: It's 11 AM. But OK, we'll try a different question: Do you believe you're a woman now, even though your chromosomes are XY, you have no womb, clitoris, fallopian tube etc. You have an Adam's apple, and your 'vagina' is basically just an imploded penis?
LB: I think sugar is bad for you and I don't like to leave my home.
Jebus: When did you first begin deluding yourself that you were a girl?

They're both gone now and probably dead. Next on my list is LB.
I'm going to purify the forum.
Yes I know some of you will be thinking why continue posting at this forum if they hate people like us so much? I have been going there and its predecessor forums for five years now and I have a number of close friends there and I determined that these haters are not going to drive me away. However, it is getting hard to ignore the poster called 'Jebus Cribbins' as he follows me around constantly making insulting and threatening posts aimed at me.
Around 90% of the males at this forum decided quite a while ago to never to use the terms 'she' or 'her' with reference to me. They told me that they would only use the terms 'him' and 'his' when writing about me.
Many people have severe problems coping with and understanding transsexuals, and I think that
all the above comments make that very clear.
I just wonder how many people are nice to our faces and loathe us in private?
Personally, I would not go to that forum.
However, if you choose to stay, report those messages to the site administrator. They should not tolerate blatant hate on their site. If they do, you really have no other recourse but to leave.
The internet is flypaper for morons which is why it seems (possibly correctly) that the world is predominantly populated by idiotic ->-bleeped-<-s.
It was trivially easy to find the forum you're referring to using the supplied information and it's not a very impressive sight - or site! Seems to be a fair amount of race hatred in there too. Perhaps you should rethink the company you keep?
simple emoticon for your idiot people on the not so friendly forum ,.!..
Janet
You feel you got abused,
so you haven't been back since because
you know your only fanning their hatred
and the teenage j-offs are laughing at you
from behind their keyboards, Right?
If I was talking face to face with people who insulted me I would walk away. If I was, accidently, on a forum where people insulted me, I would leave.
As finewine pointed out the internet has become a haven for the maladjusted freaks. Just look at the number of paedophiles that are getting caught, and think of how many aren't.
Cindy
Why would you continue to post there?
What on earth are you doing hanging out on a forum like that? You aren't going to change their minds and just give more fuel for their hate. I say come hang out here more often.
I have a motto: Never let other people's negativity affect how you live. I wouldn't post there and much of the responses I just read aren't worthy of one.

I forgot to mention that we can block other members at this forum which is what I do for most of the time. I think that those hateful posters' comments just got to me last week.
There are good points to being a member at that forum. The admin' has always classified me as female and the genetic women there have no problem with me, in fact I have complete access to the hidden 'Women Only' board, so things aren't too bad.
I once posted at a forum where all the other women were writing 'yeah you are a total girl' and they were happy to use 'she' and 'her' in reference to me, but I was not allowed access to the private Women's Board there. I never questioned this, because I didn't want to risk losing the acceptance that I had there. At this forum the GGs don't say one thing to my face and another behind my back. I think that we as transsexuals should not limit ourselves to TS forums etc. I like posting at forums where there are genetic women. I am very grateful for their acceptance of me.
I think if I left I would be letting down the other women there. It isn't just me they attack they go for anyone or any group they dislike. I think these silly boys are actually more to be pitied than despised. They seem to actively hate everyone and everything.
Wow, that's so sad. :(

I post at a ton of message boards with all kinds of men and women posting there, and I don't have to put up with that kind of constant bating and hatred. There's one forum I post at where there's a guy who sometimes likes to bring up that I'm trans, but the board is mostly friends of mine from real life, so it's to his detriment, plus I usually just make fun of him. He is basically just mad because he was in love with me, and I didn't really care. So he pretty much just plays himself out.
But in general just because you post on a message board, and are out, doesn't mean you have to be subjected to that kind of treatment.
I don't know that a secret "women's only" section of the board is really all that interesting. One of the boards I posted at had one of those, and it was dead.
Also I don't see why you'd be more happy about acceptance from GGs than any other group. They are just people miss. And whether they approve or disaprove of you, that's a judgement on them, not you. Hold your head up and expect better treatment from the world. That's the only way you'll start to really recieve it.
... annnnnd that's why I don't mention a damn thing about being trans on message boards. Other than here, or anonymously.
QuoteThe internet is flypaper for morons which is why it seems (possibly correctly) that the world is predominantly populated by idiotic ->-bleeped-<-s.
"Hee, hee, hee." I like that one, it pretty well covers all the bases for the entire planet. ;D
But to tell the truth Stephanie hon, I can not understand why you found it necessary to tell anyone on any message boards that you are Trans?
I am a member of, actually I lost count, somewhere around 20 different groups and only one is a Trans group and that would be this one.
I go into those other groups as who I truly am, Cindy, Female, sometimes even give out my age and the province and country I live in and that's all they need to know about my personal life. The groups I go to are well supervised with a minimum of riff-raff, ->-bleeped-<-s and ->-bleeped-<- disturbers. But you do get them even in the best of groups.
My friends are a mixture of both males and females and they refer to me with the proper gender and the proper name for that is who I am and that is who I have been presenting as for the past ten years.
Cindy
I never liked hateful people. Now I have met someone that has opened my eyes. She is a super model in my opinion.even without make up.
Ah, people who are lower then the S*** on the bottom of my shoes. Don't you just love them? Karma is a bitch and they will feel it hard for such weak words. If there is a hell, they will burn. And I will laugh, as I watch from the thrown of hell.
I think this is useful so we are reminded there are a lot of idiots out there. And when you give them anonymity, their prejudice shines through. Sometimes I think we tend to believe the world thinks better of us than it does. And that's leaves us unprepared when we meet hate face to face.
Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies closer.
Julie
PS: I was a member at a forum where they had a special GG section. Even if you were fully transitioned the owner would not let you access that section because you were not "genuine". Talk about prejudice! And yes, I left, but more because the owner let the GGs get away with anything.
I personally would not revisit the site. I have only once been the victim of that sort of hatred. A guy at flickr commented on one of my photos and blamed my ->-bleeped-<- for the fall of Sodom and Gomora. Apparently I am immoral and causing the destruction of society. I viewed his Photo stream and found numerous pics of a picnic with what appeared to be a bunch fo white supremists. Skinhead rednecks with rebel flags, etc. Hmmm? Imagine that.

Totally agree. 27 years ago I had a substantial piece of property evaluated at $750,000 and my three children I lost when I separated with my ex I was on the street and lucky I still owned my underwear. Frontier justice would at least put you out of your misery quicker.

I used to play World of Warcraft avidly. I eventually told this person I had gotten to know very well that I was transgendered. We used to talk on Skype, and even gave each other game-time cards when we didn't have the money to pay for it ourselves. Well, when we got into an argument about some stuff, she posted on our server's forums that I was transsexual, and she showed me her true face concerning the transsexual community.
I quit playing World of Warcraft. I know there are LGBT guilds, but if I have to restrict myself to solely that community, why even bother playing to be harassed by closed-minded jerks? It's like that on most of the internet. Just gotta pick our battles wisely, sometimes we can be supported, and other times, we're freaks and targets of discrimination. You just gotta remember one infallible rule of the internet, there is no responsibility for actions taken here. You can just hop on a different handle, and keep up with your bigotry.
Would you consider another born with a physical defect a freak?
Consider yourself a freak and they win. For decades I allowed them to
convince me that I was a freak and I lived in terror that my freakdom would
be discovered. I hid all those years, for nothing because I am not freak. The
freaks are they who march in lockstep on their way to the Cool-Aide Festival,
they who are happy to live as they are instructed. Are you a freak?

The internet is a really cruel place. I've had my share of internet hate because of various reasons. People will let their internet "mouth" fly just because it's on the internet. If it was in real life, they probably wouldn't be so open about their attitudes since they'd probably get the crap beat out of them

I was thinking of this and remembered several stories were people have recieved hateful email from people in the same offices as themselves. Why? Because they think that sending an insulting email is different than walking ten paces and having an argument? Or is it some internet ostrich syndrome, just because I've said something hatefull via the internet it doesn't really count? Aside from my own "family" the only hate I've ever encountered is online. It seems people are willing to say things on the internet to others that they'd never say in real life.
Oddly enough, the worst case of online hate is one I've been dealing with over the last two months or so. One person, on two different forums I am on related to a hobby of mine. I called this person out on comments they made which were completely disparaging to transgender people. I was then quietly told in a PM that this person was herself transgender. I did a lot of research and sure enough -- I was able to prove that this person is indeed transgender but trash talks transgender people to no end on these websites, and refuses to admit they are trans even when faced with undeniable evidence. I can understand wanting to be stealth, but to forget where you came from and trash your own just because? I don't get it. Not at all.

This sociological quirk is not restricted to those who use the internet.
Given the ability to communicate with complete anonymity using
any medium, the morons always seem to find their voice.
One time at band camp.... oh wrong story.
On the C.B. radio the morons are called "Citizen Band Kamikazes"
and the mindless sparing can go on for hundreds of miles, each challenging
the other "to pull it on over to the side". Aside from an occasional scuffle
on the fuel island, you hardly ever see this kind of behavior exhibited in
public. Every once in awhile you will hear about two brain trusts who
dodecide "to settle it like men". One leaves the truck stop parking
lot in cuffs and the other in a body bag. :icon_no:
There is always a monkeys backside in every crowd. Guess I been lucky, working as a social worker for 22 years, only once I was backed up against a wall and that was a girl friend of a guy who was jealous of me would you believe. I guess she thought I had some designs on her boy friend.
And of course got intercepted by a drunk one night while crossing the street, he decided he wanted my purse, got away with only a couple of shiners but held on to my purse.
I my previous life, they were mostly the bucket mouth type you talk about heatherrose. I can take the heat from blowhards but them there bricks could be detrimental to my noggin, but never had to dodge bricks or fists either. I'm a peaceable person. ;D

I've been a long time poster at a REALLY good forum (and I can prove they are good people) and when I came out there I was scared to death but in a poll, over 80% were supportive of me. and the great majority of those who disagreed did so respectfully and thoughtfully.
That's not to say there were not fools - but those fools were fools on a vairety of subjects before i came out.
For instance, this guy from the OP:
Quote

What you have here is your standard issue troll.
MAYBE the site is filled with hateful or intolerant people (I intend to give it a look in a sec) but you can't prove that one way or the other by this guy.
This is just ordinary boiler-plate trolling - virtually every board that doesn't have very draconian speech standards has one. Usually half a dozen.

It's only a shadow world, a very far away and pale representation of the real world, which is very brutally cruel.

You just gotta remember one infallible rule of the internet, there is no responsibility for actions taken here. You can just hop on a different handle, and keep up with your bigotry.

You are beautiful and real. You don't need this validation. I have done the exact same thing and it always leads to vitriole because the people involved are only experimenting and they want to deny what they feel and blame it on you. You are REAL. Please don't ever let anyone influence who you are :)

Hi Tekla, you are quite right, they are shadows actually just typed words on a monitor, but for someone who spends allot of time on these contraption trying to build up who they truly are, are also very vulnerable and open to being hurt by someones remarks.
To that person who is just starting out can be very self conscious and sensitive to the image they are attempting to project, so the antagonist on his/her monitor can be quite real, as though the person was right in the room with them, pointing their antagonistic finger right at their nose, accusing them of what ever.
I have been at such places, TS or just regular groups and when the crap started hitting the fan I usually just removed myself from that group.
Goodness knows there are thousands of other message boards out there, each with their own characteristics and personality, some good, some bad. Pick the one you like. I myself have found this one about the best as far as TS sites go, although it is not without it's antagonists either.
