has anyone come across dr brian ferguson before cos it looks like my first appointment will be with him and i was wondering if anyone knew what he was like?
I have never heard of him personally.
I use Dr Curtis.

Sorry, I've got no idea what he's like either I'm afraid. You might get a better response if you ask on a UK specific list - if you don't know of any feel free to PM me and I'll send you a link.
I've not heard any direct feedback on him, ::)
...but I do know he is one of the Registered UK Gender psychiatrists operating as a consultant (and possibly co-founder) at the Nottingham Clinic. He has appeared in the press about keeping to extended RLE periods beyond the basic SOC guidelines to avoid "mistakes" in diagnosis. :-\
So whatever he is like to talk to, I guess I would not expect any unusually "quick" action, but at least you are seeing the "right guy" and not a "middle man". ;)
Good Luck.. :icon_flower:

Unfortunately it's not generally an illusion.. :-\
I ended up paying for private counselling before I did something stupid last year. ::)
I may give the NHS a chance one of these days..but don't hold your breath.. ;)
