i want to cry or scream or something the gp went ok he drew blood and stuff but declined to start hrt until i get my letter which im ok with then he started to talk about rle or dressing this i can not do until i have ffs and for that i have to be on hrt for a year at least he then progressed and asked me about my suport system ...non existant except for here hugs to everyone. well to make it short at least its progress and if he wants to see me dress ill were casual to his office but thats as far as i can go i cant afford to be fired in this economy and i dont were dresses and wont even after srs shrug i hope its good enough otherwise i will self medicate lol

I think they want to know how committed you are because the effects of HRT are not reversible. Don't sweat wearing dresses. I hate them to! My last visit to the endo she had a Dartmouth med student in there with us. She figures its good to educate them on trans issues, Which I don't mind, I do it just about every time I go. But I basically tell them to ask any questions they want. Well one was so do you wear dresses? I told him no, because dresses are not my style, they are useless in functionality, and the dress certainly does not make the woman.

my style is casual, and if I have to dress up I wear a nice pair of pants a sweater or blouse with my dansko clogs(which I love!). You may want to look into getting a Pair of Dansko's they are basicly gender neutral...not to mention comfy. ;)

My answer to that is that the effects of not having HRT are ALSO not reversible.

I think these people just like to play god and think they're better than you because they're a doctor. I'm just getting fed up with people like this who think they know you better than you know yourself and that you should have to prove yourself to them.

Life is short... it's really really REALLY short, way too short to let people like this walk all over you keeping you from doing what you need to do to live.

*gets off her soapbox*

Jumps up on the soapbox with fist raised and exclaims....

"Join the TG Revolution!!! I want it all and I want it now!!!"

Sorry, feeling a bit emotional right now
