I have an oval shaped face and currently sport a faux hawk, but it can be a pain to deal with because I have really thick boring straight hair. I can't cut it too short because I've got moles on my head(although I'm getting them checked out again because one got bigger, so I might have them removed.)
Do any of you lads have any good suggestions for a good masculine haircut? Something easy to take care of that looks good for lighter coloured hair.
I have a faux hawk at the moment and when it gets to thick all I do is thin it out with a cheap pair of thinning out scissors. I like this hair cut as its funky and its short and manage-able too..

I could try to thin it out myself, I've seen how it's done before. What styling product do you use? I have cheap sports gel and I think I should just get some higher quality stuff that looks natural. I also end up having the worst bedhead, haha.
ha ha! I use Gum for my hair, I find that gel just makes it feel sticky and stiff. There are plently of gum products out there, I use bed head and sometimes shockwavesl. But generally its VO5 Gum :)
Yeah its just snip snip snip lol!
I have my hair at the sides about a 2 or 3 and the top just trimmed and thinned out.

yea i have a faux hawk too...when i feel like doing it, sometimes im to lazy lol. I usually get my hair cut every 2 weeks because it grows like crazy. I use hair glue or gum as well, usually works pretty well. I have 3 lines shaved in the back of my hair on the right and three in the side of my hair on the left....just to be different. My hair gets really blonde in the summer but darkens up in the winter and i think it looks good either color. Along with jay i get about a 2 or 3 on the sides and trimmed on the top.
Thanks for the tips.
Any other hairstyles are welcome. I just went to a concert and realized almost every guy had a fauxhawk and decided that maybe I should change it up. Not that I care too much about being different but it was eerie.

You look pretty good. The haircut you have is fine, but you might wanna trim a couple inches off.

Yeah, maybe just a trim. I kind of like how it grew out there, just needed some proper styling.
what does the color of your hair have to do with how you should style it?

Because I've noticed some hairstyles look better for darker hair.
